My family and I stopped in San Antonio for one day to explore the river walk. We were not sure what places would be open for breakfast, so we just walked around looking. I am so glad we found this place. The chicken and waffles were so good, but my favorite part was the cherry French toast. I would highly recommend this place.

I had brunch with the family around 10 am on a Saturday morning. It was pretty busy, but we were able to get a table pretty quick. The reason for the 4 stars is due to the customer service not the food. The waiter was not attentive. Three people in my party did not receive any refills through out the whole time. We waved a different person down to get ranch. The food was pretty good. I definitely feel like the experience would of been better if the staff was a little friendlier. Restrooms passed.

Came for breakfast on this Sunday morning and it was just Perfect🤩👌🏼
No reservation but was placed in the waiting list and in 5 min I had a table right outside next to the river. Had the Avocado Toast with vegetables and it tasted just great.
The service and attention from the waiter and the host was also just Perfect.
The breeze, the weather, the morning aroma and the taste of coffee it's a great combination to start my Sunday!

No if's, and's, or but's, you will not find a better breakfast along the Riverwalk (and maybe in San Antonio) than The River's Edge Cafe. My wife had the Avocado Toast and I had the Chilaquiles. We both agreed that these were the absolute best breakfast items we have EVER had anywhere and made sure to tell the staff that. Just because they share the hotel facility doesn't mean they share hotel food. We would have tried other meals here but there were so many other places that were recommended to us and we only had so many days. We will definitely try them in the future. Whatever you do, don't overlook
