Once you decide to contact me, you can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation first so that I learn more about you, and you can learn about me and my style. Then, if we decide that we will work together, we will schedule an intake session, and then schedule regular therapy sessions based on your needs.
Currently all the therapy sessions I offer are conducted online through secure and HIPAA-compliant platforms. This can be done with video or phone-only, based on your preference. Currently I do not accept insurance, but can offer documentation for out-of-network benefits reimbursement through your insurance policy.

Therapy is such a unique space, and to be able to witness the vulnerability and the depth of conversation that are had in this space, is something I find very special and valuable, and it drives me to love this profession. My approach to psychotherapy is one that is quite flexible. I integrate different kinds of models and philosophies (psychodynamic, CBT, and ACT-based) in order to match your specific needs and personality style.
Anxiety is the mind and body's natural reaction to stressful, uncomfortable, dangerous, or unfamiliar situations. It becomes a disorder and a problem worth addressing in therapy when it lasts a long time, interferes with your relationships, and starts to decrease the quality of your life.
Anxiety disorders are very common--about 40 million Americans have a type of anxiety disorder during any given year, and 60 million American adults experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their life.Generalized anxiety: persistent and excessive worry about multiple things at once, such as constantly worrying about finances, health, and safety, and imagining the worst case scenario.

Low self-esteem is when we view ourselves in a critical and negative way that might lead us to believe that we are incompetent, unworthy, and shameful. The main purpose of dynamic therapy is to explore your deep-seated needs, urges, and desires, which are often the cause of many of the symptoms that you may experience on the surface. Explore various areas and timelines of your life, including childhood, where most of learn the things we know as adults.
CBT is a problem-solving approach to therapy that addresses thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as they interact with each other. We often have quick and almost unconscious thoughts that we refer to as 'automatic thoughts' that come and go quickly, and often we feel their emotional impact. Some of our automatic thoughts include cognitive distortions (or thinking errors), such as black or white thinking, catastrophizing, generalization, etc.
