St Paul Federal Credit Union
In 1987 our original charter was converted to a federal charter to add family members of the electricians to our field of membership. Our growth continued, and in 2005 we opened our credit union doors to the entire St. Paul community. With the addition of the city of St. Paul, all persons living, working, worshipping, or doing business in any St.

Paul neighborhood were given the opportunity to receive the benefits of credit union membership. A merger with Capital Trust Federal Credit Union in 2008 further expanded our field of membership to include United States Federal Employees and downtown Minneapolis.

Horrible phone customer service 3/4 of the times. Just had a 24/7 phone staff assist me just minutes ago. She was rude and argumentative. They said we could leave a review at the end of the phone call if we stay on but it just hung up. Other than that a staff even crossed reference my information once. Tried to report to HR about this concern and issue and never heard back to this day. Making a review because no one from there seems to care. Thought I'd share.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. What should have taken a day or 2 on an application, took 2 weeks with horrible communication. The loan officer did not call or email me back ever. I had to call and leave a voicemail with the branch manager almost everyday in order to get a response. I will not name this individual because I'm not about firing someone. They should be more careful as to who they are hiring on their staff. On top of that, the loan officer provided me with false information about my credit, followed by panic on my part, calling all of my credit cards to make sure it was

I've been a member of this credit union since they were known as Government Employee Federal Credit Union in the late 90s. I remember a small CU with people who knew you and gave exceptional customer service all the time. They have grown over the years (I think they were acquired by another CU) and now your just an account number. I specifically want to address concern with their accounting formula and direct deposit procedures. Recently I've been following my account closely due to overdraft fees I have seen charged to my account. I've noticed that I'm getting overdraft

Auto loans are NOT user friendly if you do not also have a checking account with them. They are open only during normal business hours and do not have bankers on Saturday mornings. The call center is not consistent with their answers on how they can and cannot take payments and there are many things that need to be done in branch only. As someone that works during their hours, it has made it a challenge each month to just pay my bill. JUST TAKE MY MONEY.

No longer part of the old school credit union culture. Feels like a bank that's behind the times or perhaps trying to distract you with popcorn and candy. Never encountered a no-fee ATM despite their claim. High fees unless you are a member with high funds with them. If you're living from paycheck to paycheck like many of us these days they'll take you for a ride. They closed their Minneapolis branch which makes them less convenient. I was a member of Capital Trust FCU before it merged with St Paul FCU and I've watched everything go downhill since. The downtown location

Popcorn, cookies, lollys, and a funky location.
My credit union is actually back on the east coast, but these guys are nice enough to not hassle me when half of my crap is in my maiden name and the other half is in my married name. They're making this transition stuff pretty easy.
Oh, yeah, and free popcorn.
