The Bearded Chef, was established in 2009 by Jared "The Bearded Chef" Chenevert. The roots of his business started in the chef's hometown of Morgan City, Louisiana, while being taught "the rules of the kitchen" by a family of chefs. He realized at a young age, that he had a passion not only for cooking, but for entertaining people with his passion for food.
Fresh caught Louisiana Shrimp sauteed to perfection with The Bearded Chef BBQ Sauce, garlic, melted butter over Pepper Jack Cheese & Cilantro Grits. Shrimp, Crab, and Chicken sauteed in a creamy tomato basil sauce over toasted french bread. Searching for the perfect Meatless Gumbo? Well, look no further, because this Gumbo is stocked with fresh vegetables and spices that'll make you think you're eating seafood!
A private chef is employed full time and/or exclusively by one individual or family and often lives in their home and prepares up to three meals per day. A personal chef serves several clients, usually one or two per day. A personal chef provides multiple services that are custom designed for the clients' particular requests and dietary requirements.

A HUGE thank you to Jared and his crew for helping make my husband’s party amazing. The food was fantastic. Very flavorful. The staff was excellent. They were very friendly and very attentive to us and our guests. Reasonably priced. We had lots of food to take home that will not go to waste! Thank you all and keep up the great work!

I want to send a BIG THANK YOU to the entire Bearded Chef team. I contacted Jared on behalf of a client less than 24 hours before an event because she was unable to use the first caterer she selected. I want to commend Jared and his team for their professionalism and great service. Jared was very accommodating and willing to help us out even though it was a last minute request and he had an event earlier that day. He and his team communicated with us from beginning to end.
