Juniper Mountain House is a boutique hotel nestled on ten wooded acres overlooking the foothills of Evergreen, Colorado. This 25-year-old landmark, originally built by Will and Jackie Thompson from Scotland, was first known as The Royal Scot Bed & Breakfast.
While the property has been well-loved by several different owners and has worn a few names since then - Ashley House and Mountain Bounty Bed & Breakfast - it maintains the same rustic mountain charm and character.For us, Juniper Mountain House is a retreat. Its proximity to Denver - just a quick 30 minute jaunt - allows the energy of the city to meet the relaxation of the mountains.

We had our small wedding here and it was absolutely wonderful. The venue is in the midst of Evergreen trees and the interior decor is mountain chic and very curated. We were also able to bring our dog which we so appreciated. It's the perfect place for a small wedding or just a weekend getaway and the owners are SO friendly and helpful to boot!

My husband & I chose Juniper for our elopement and it was PERFECT! The property is GORGEOUS. From the views to the private trails to the perfectly placed decor, Juniper is full of charm & character. Ashley & Alea are incredible! You will truly be treated as friends and family here. We cannot wait to visit again!

This place is AMAZING! The hot tub, ambience, extra comfy robes/blankets, snacks, location/proximity to civilization including the low-key better-than-Snooze eggs benedict <10 mins away at Parkside Cafe, and jovial hosts are all reasons independently you should pick this over XYZ Airbnb or, worst case, random Marriott etc. On the hike out back we saw deer, and on the drive-in the snow capped Rockies. Why would you stay anywhere else!? Thank you Alea and Ashley!!

I am really glad I found this little gem for a quiet weekend getaway with my husband. We stayed in the aspen room, which was quiet cozy. LOVE LOVE LOVE the bedding/pillows/etc. I'm so picky about these things and find that hotels often have the flattest, most uncomfortable pillows ever. Not Juniper! Everything was plush and comfortable. The house was quiet and we didn't hear much noise, especially late in the night. Gorgeous views and being off a quiet road make this the perfect place for a romantic getaway!

I have to take a second to RAVE about the boutique lodge we had the pleasure of staying at this weekend. 😍 Juniper Mountain House is the perfect location for a getaway in mountains! 30 minutes from Denver and… less than an hour to Breckinridge. The suite we stayed in had a privat entrance and porch. I’m pretty sure they were fully booked, but it was so quiet. We had a nice chat at the fire pit with another lovely couple, but that was the most interaction we had with anyone else. 😉 Ashley and Alea were wonderful, sweet and helpful hosts. They’ll be building treehouse

I co-hosted a women's day retreat at the beautiful Juniper Mountain House this summer and it was the most magical space to bring connection, inspiration and love to our guests in nature. Alea and Ashley were amazing throughout the entire planning process, very responsive and great hostesses the actual day of the event. They both have a very warm, welcoming energy and were just the vibe we were looking for at our event. Every detail was perfect from the coffee/tea and wine/beer bars, use of the hiking trail, the gorgeous deck space with mountain views we used for yoga and circling and the cozy indoor

From start to finish, Alea and Ashley worked with us to answer questions and helped us plan the perfect day. Their professionalism and attention to detail were flawless and made the entire day possible. Just a wonderful place to visit for any occasion. I had the pleasure of attending a friend’s wedding recently. It was the perfect mountain wedding and the exact ambiance you picture when you think of that setting. Alea and Ashley are wonderful owners and made sure the night was memorable for everyone. By far one of my favorite places I have ever been to. The property is truly breathtaking. It’s warm, it’s cozy, and Alea and Ashley are the most welcoming and hospitable owners I’ve ever met. They met me at the front door and gave me a full tour of the property which was such a nice personal touch. If you’re thinking about staying here, you will not be disappointed. Already looking forward to my next stay!

My husband and I got married here over this past weekend. Our ceremony was perfect thanks to Ashley and Alea. I would highly recommend this location/venue for you big day. The personal detail and attention that they gave to my husband and I was above and beyond our expectations. From all the care and attention in decorating the meadow for the ceremony to our toast before. The room that night with hot tub after the reception was so fantastic. We will definitely be back for an anniversary or just because. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our big day was absolutely perfect

I was not able to stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast. Unfortunately we got sick through our trip and had to cancel due to Covid. The owners were extremely understanding and gave us a full refund. I was looking forward to staying here and plan to come back to have the full experience!! I highly recommend staying here just from the reviews and the pictures and obviously my experience with the owners.
