Viperbots' Friends & Family
Mentoring students is just as rewarding for the mentor as it is for the student. You don't have to be an expert to mentor a team. Sometimes all the students need is a sounding board as they work out the issue themselves. It takes the inexhaustible support from, YOU, our booster club parents to support an award-winning robotics program.

We need every single one of YOU to help make this year's ViperBots competitive season a success! Our corporate sponsorships allow companies to show their support for ViperBots either financially or through provision of goods and services. VFF would like to welcome Katherine Newport-Forbes and Mary Rouhiainen to our faculty staff!

The ViperBots Friends and Family (VFF) is the official booster club for the Vandegrift High School (VHS) ViperBots robotics teams located in Austin, TX. The booster club is run and organized by the parents of students in the ViperBots program and community supporters. If your student is a ViperBot, then you are a member of the VFF booster club.
Mr. Allen is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin and received his master's degree from the University of Houston, majoring in English, history and finance.

Mr. Allen likes the FTC robotics program because it provides a creative outlet for engineers and mathematicians, it simulates the real world of engineering, helps students develop important life skills (like collaboration and communication), and reinforces the project process of the constant revising and editing that takes place, or as he calls it, the "feedback loop."
ViperBots Robotics is an award-winning robotics program of Vandegrift High School (VHS) in Austin, Texas. Its primary focus is to develop and educate the rising generation of entrepreneurs and leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The organization promotes leadership, teamwork and mentoring others.
Each organization is driven by the individuals who believe in their mission and vision. ViperBots, in conjunction with Faculty Sponsors and the VFF Board, are already hard at work on the road to make that mission and vision a reality. It literally takes a village of volunteers to support an award-winning robotics program.
Volunteering at FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) events is a rewarding experience! Not only do you see the competition up close, but you develop an appreciation for the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm that students pour into their robots and teams. It's a ton of fun and it sure beats sitting on the bleachers during competitions!
