Morgan Cohen is a licensed home inspector and the proud owner of MKC Associates, which he founded in 2005. He has completed over 2,300 Massachusetts home inspections as well as many commercial property inspections, property consultations and commercial & industrial radon testing projects. Before beginning MKC, Morgan saw a void in the inspection industry.
During a buyer's inspection, the professionals at MKC Associates form a close partnership with the buyer. We'll be your guide as we explain any property defects or issues we uncover. MKC came and gave a very in-depth inspection of a condo I'm purchasing in Somerville. The inspector, Miner, was patient with any questions I had and happy to go into detail on any issues he noted and the final report was ready the next day. The report is nicely formatted and basically in a checklist format to make it easy to prioritize upcoming repairs after I close.

I had the pleasure of working with Tom, whom I found to be professional, knowledgeable and responsive. He was at the property before the scheduled time, was extremely thorough and explained his findings in detail. Most importantly, he followed up 3 times with me after the inspections as I had questions and once just to check in. I will use Tom and MKC again.

Rob Amaral was a great inspector! He clearly enjoys his profession which helpful for me - because I had many concerns which he acknowledged. He also reassured me about other issues.
He brought up some new ideas for me - about updating a tub to use as a shower. He warned me about electrical situations that need to be resolve.
He noted a pipe that was a safety concern.
He urged me to have the vertical risers in a number of rooms to be fully insulated, so I could have better control of the temperature in my space.
He pointed out how both bathrooms need to be retiled otherwise water damage can

Rob Amaral Was awesome, he showed up on time gave us extremely detailed home inspection considering we were not able to attend it in person as we are on the other side of the country. Ultimately he identified a lot of issues that the seller was happy to fix and we feel much more confident that we’re moving into a well sorted house. Rob even was willing to jump on a call with me after the fact a walk-through some outstanding items. Super helpful really friendly and extremely fast.

Jameson was awesome. Such a huge help educating us and doing a highly thorough inspection throughout the entire property. He further reached out several times after the inspection to ensure that we were comfortable and confident to move forward with our purchase. I wouldn’t think about purchasing a house in the Boston area without his guidance and knowledge.
