The Quach family settled in Austin in the late 1970's to new opportunities. Many of their first experiences came from their exposure to the Chinese restaurant industry. From washing dishes, cutting and preparing meats and vegetables, to cooking on the line, and eventually, the wok cooking position.

Y and Nguyet Quach owned and operated the Hao Hao Round Rock location for over two decades. In fall 2013, with their kids all through college, they finally decided to hang-up their woks and sold Hao Hao Round Rock to focus on Nguyet's passion for baking. With that, Nguyet's signature sandwiches were born.

Crab Rangoons were chewy, not alot of filling, not normal shape and not very good.

Thai tea was good. Didnt taste like powder which alot of restaurants do.

Pad see ew had a great flavor, a little spicy. The veggies were good too. Could use a little more veggies, maybe even some of the broccoli florets and not just stock.

I will prob return to try other menu items.

Adding more photos from another stop here. Their bun cha Hanoi is my new fav! The spicy fish sauce is for dipping your grilled meat and other goods inside. They are generous with the meat. You got two variations of pork: grilled pork and grilled minced pork with the dish.

This was a great choice! Excellent service. The spot was serving carry out only but when the owner saw us deciding if we were going to get takeout because we were traveling she invited us to eat in! Much appreciated. The Pad See Ew as others have stated is great!! So glad we stopped!

Nice cosy place, with mom-n-pop feel to it. I ordered Thai food here, but the taste was more vietnamese inspired (it was good though). i'll come back and try some viet food here and some Banh Mi. I didn't see Pho on the menu though.

Had the peppery shrimp bánh mi. It's really good, you can taste the pepper one you bite into the shrimp. A very slight kick to your tongue. The bread is toasted to the touch. Crispy, soft, and chewy. Had the yogurt, different consistency of any yogurt. Pudding like, scratch that, cheesecake-like consistency. It's pretty good. Overall, the restaurant is very quaint, spacious and friendly service.

Was craving Thai and came here due to the high Yelp reviews. My food came out extremely salty so I had to request extra steamed veggies to mix with my noodles, to mellow it down (still wasn't good). The food was a let down for my entire group. Sad to say, I don't think the chef is very good... Seemed more like a Vietnamese restaurant trying to do Thai. Didn't taste authentic at all. Their best tasting item was their free self-service soup.

Sorely disappointed that yelps rating did not match our experience. We got take out and spent over $50 on 4 entrees for a family of 4. As soon as I picked up the bags of food, they felt light and underweight. And sure enough, the boxes were half filled as compared to other restaurants' takeout food. The portions were skimpy at best.

What made it worse was that they completely screwed up on our sandwich order. The sandwich contained mystery meat that was extremely salty. We wanted mayo but no jalapeños and of course, it came with jalapeños and no mayo.

We ended up getting some hamburgers

Meh. I ordered delivery, drunken noodles with the spicy option. They have 0 spice and were delivered with no condiments. They aren't bad but with delivery charges and tip almost $25 and I'm disappointed.

NASTY!!!
I ordered the yellow curry, and it was disgusting.
I have eaten thai food hundreds of times. Dishes prepared by friends from Thailand.
And this curry was a bowl full of raw spices that coated your tongue with gritty residue.
The tofu was cold, and gelatinous . Not fried like it typically is. Massive raw of chunks of onion, and green peppers floting in this nasty broth of coconut milk and 20 table spoons of raw
Turmeric. After 2 bites my lips were yellow and my throat was irritated.
Could explain why there was 3 people in the sweltering heat of this filthy hole.
$13.00 on what could

The staff was incredibly nice and inviting, and more importantly, quick! The food was very reasonably priced and amazing. I got a banh mi which was solid for Austin while my friend got a pad see ew which was cooked perfectly with flavor and consistency. They had the best Thai tea that I've had in town too!

Only place I'd eat Banh Mi from here in Austin. The baguette is the closest to the authentic Vietnamese Baguette I've had in Vietnam. The shrimp is made with premium shrimp not the cheap tasting kind. The meat is thinly sliced and the perfect portion for my taste. The Vietnamese Crepes with shrimp very good and big portion. Sweet Silken tofu is a very good light dessert, must try! Oh and the sweet coconut bread is super addictive.

Eat here! One of our favorites in Austin- great food, delightful staff. Our favorite dishes are the Pad See Ew or Drunken Noodles (have had with chicken, pork, and shrimp- all good!) and the Orange Chicken. I really appreciate how seriously they took Covid precautions during the pandemic. They have a bakery counter inside, and the interior of the restaurant is so pleasant and calm. Truly an oasis.

FYI I recommend calling in your takeout orders instead of placing them online. Online ordering system has dropped orders for us in the past; the staff has always gone above and beyond to resolve it but

We ordered through chowbus and the seals placed on the bag were secure. However, we weren’t given any utensils or napkins.
We got the papaya salad spice level 4. Such a generous amount!! Delicious shrimp and lots of shredded papaya and carrots. I always love my peanuts and baby tomatoes. Spice did not taste like a level 4 it tasted like a spice level 1. I mentioned since it was an order for delivery to add more of the sauce and they delivered. So much sauce. Perfect. But overall, it was still delicious.
We also ordered the Ng House Noodles spice level 3 (spiciest option for the noodles). We

I recently started working down the street and this place is my favorite new lunch find.

I've been trying the Banh Mi options and just ask them what they recommend and I've been very pleased!
First the Grilled Pork and this time the Ribeye.

The Ribeye Banh Mi is my new favorite. The crunch of the bread, delicious pickled toppings with jalapeños and that Ribeye just melts in your mouth!

They are very kind, great food, and great service. For me, if I'm full and lunch is under $10, I am very happy.

Another review that is long overdue. The staff here has been excellent and super nice. They handled the pandemic extremely well: shutting down indoor dining early on and making online ordering and pickup simple and safe. We've occasionally grabbed weekend lunch here and were excited to see their indoor dining has opened back up again, a few months ago.

We mainly stop by for their Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches). Their famous french bread is crispy and delicious and the fillings are consistently great. Over time, we've tried their grilled pork, classic combo, pork belly, tofu, and

First time visiting today and I enjoyed it. The woman taking my order was really friendly. I ordered the basil fried rice with beef and it had good flavors and tender beef. Large portion size as well. Lunch came with a free bottle of water and a cup of soup. I will be back here to try more dishes.

I came here and ordered food to go. It was quite tasty. I got the red curry chicken and vegetable egg rolls. The red curry was fresh and flavorful. It had a lot of yummy veggies - green beans, red pepper, green pepper, and bamboo shoots. The egg rolls were good too! My only complaint was my rice looked like some had some from the bottom of the pan. Otherwise efficient service and delicious food.

Their pork+shrimp banh xeo is divine-- crunchy, flavorful and served with fresh veggies and a perfect dipping sauce. I don't know how people aren't lined up outside for the banh xeo alone. Even if you order it as take-out, it's still crunchy when you get home. What is this wizardry?
For those unfamiliar with how to eat it, you wrap small portions of the banh xeo in a piece of lettuce, tuck in some mint and pickled carrots, and dip this holy combination into the sauce. Close your eyes and let all cares melt away.
Other less obvious things you should try are their coconut cream filled bread, shortbread

Why does all the great Asian places have to be so far damn north..... but honestly, it's worth making the trip to this place.

Absolutely loved these dishes: the bun cha, grilled pork bahn mi (the baguette itself is so good), bun xeo, and their hot and sour + egg drop soup (one free small soup per entree). I also think the cold tofu dessert is awesome; incredibly sweet.

Things I thought were good: mango cheesecake. Sesame bread.

Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back to try their other items; specifically their noodle soups, other bahn mis, and maybe even their American

Here to expose NF Cafe from working under the radar. Their menu online is all the standard Thai stuff but the greatest secret is their not so secret in-store poster menu of Vietnamese dishes like Bun Cha Hanoi, Banh Xeo, Banh Mi Xui Mai Chung. I'm not a brunch person but I'm a Vietnamese Meatballs and Eggs person. Banh Mi Xiu Mai Chung is a breakfast plate that's going to put your IHOP to shame. Pork meatball is a umami sweet tomato sauce topped with a fried egg and a fresh baguette. No, really, NG Cafe bakes their baguette daily and it might be my favorite baguette in town. This

Pro tip: Must try their Banh Mi sandwich, their toasted french baguette is made from scratch daily and baked in house. The smell is amazing when you walk in.
We love the Grilled pork, pork belly and tofu banh mi, so crunchy and flavorful meats, you will love it. We also got the Singapore noodles, so much wok flavor, they know what they are doing in the kitchen.
Oh, free bottle water you eat in the restaurant.

This is the banh mi is the tastiest/best in Austin. I finished my classic combo banh mi in less than 5 minutes and wished for more. One is not enough.

The baguette is nicely toasted and every bite has a crunch. Update: I always end up getting their Buy 5, Get 1 free banh mi deal! Pro tip: just ask for them to keep the veggies on the side and not toasted so you can save them for lunch or for a later day.

Also recommended: guay tiew (order a baguette on the side and dip it in the soup) or better yet dip your banh mi in the soup. Another recommendation is their banh xeo with shrimp! It might

I’m simply blown away by how amazing this place is - by far the best Thai *and* Vietnamese I’ve had in Austin. From the spring rolls and banh mi to the pad Thai and green curry - everything was fresh and lick-the-plate-clean delicious. Good portion sizes and excellent value. Also the proprietors are friendly and fast and kind, and the restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. I live in south Austin but will be happily making the trek up north to eat here again (hopefully very frequently). I’d leave 10 stars if I could and highly recommend this local business. Go there today!

Does the NG stand for "Not Good"?????

Experience based on delivery via UberEats:
The pad thai was one of the worst I've had. I don't recommend ordering pad thai from here, especially if you are craving pad thai. Spend the extra money or take the extra effort to go elsewhere. The pad thai had 0 flavor with the exception of the saltiness. There were no beansprouts as well. I ate only the shrimp and beef (since I ordered the combo) and it was edible only after I convinced myself it wasn't pad thai I was eating - not even sriracha could save it.

I also ordered green curry
