Nectar Cafe

Great cafe with plant based food and drinks. We ordered a scramble, burrito, smoothie and coffee. The smoothie had avocado and citrus and it was delicious and creamy. The scramble was tasty and filling. Great brunch spot with lots of options.

Supremely disappointed in the vegan food here. Tried a few different items and they were not appetizing. The French dip was a tiny hoagie, split completely in two. Innards we're overcooked. Breakfast burrito was also a bummer. The coffee is good though!

The Jalapeño Waffle Sandwich with Jalapeño cream cheese, cucumber, and avocado was super yummy but the waffle tasted like a banana? Not my fave surprise, but the sandwich was pretty good over all. They forgot the salsa and sour cream for my bf's burrito, but it was still yummy too.

If you're looking for a great spot for breakfast/lunch I'd recommend Nectar Cafe. The employees were friendly and the menu was fully vegan. I ordered the pulled not pork sandwich and the sausage waffle sandwich with my friend. The portions were perfect and the flavors were fabulous!

I LOVE this place and drive across town frequently with non vegan friends to indulge. I love their home made sausage, their GF waffles, pastries and sauces. The staff is also wonderful. My only problem is how heavy handed their salt use is. I use more salt in my cooking than most and it's often too salty for me. Please consider reducing your salt usage. It's a health concern for those with blood pressure issues. Thank you!!

PS. I'm sad you closed your SE restaurant. Will reconsider opening another on in the SE. We miss you!

I randomly came across this cafe and it was great. The service was fantastic and everything is vegan. I ordered the Bahn Mi, which I’ve been craving for awhile. The bread stayed remarkably crunchy during my entire lunch and the tofu had a terrific almost smoky taste. I’d also recommend the London Fog with oat milk and a touch of lavender sweetener. Delicious!

Tons of delicious options for food, cocktails, and coffee. Have eaten here with two non vegans and they both loved it too. They even have good parking.

First off, the food was delicious. I wish there was a Nectar Cafe in Salem where I live! My companions each had the potato waffle, which was very good, and I had the no-pork pulled sandwich on sourdough bread. It came with a side salad with a very tasty tahini dressing. Delicious!
That said, it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. To be fair, it was lunchtime, but still. Nobody came by our table to apologize for or explain the long wait. I took a star off for that, and another for the bathroom - while not exactly dirty, it wasn't what I would call clean.
But the food alone was superb.

We loved it, as usual.
My husband had the Portland scramble with sourdough toast, our daughter had the breakfast burrito and I had the division scramble in a burritos. Everything was amazing and the young ladies behind the counter were delightful.

Food was good, service was bad enough that I will not be back. Ignored upon walking in for over 5 minutes (not even eye contact, we were brushed past like furniture), food was only ready for pick up 20 minutes late, items unavailable despite them having been available at the point they were paid for, and the staff person who kept messing up the most just did not seem to care. I do my best to give people the benefit of the doubt but the young girl working the coffee counter this weekend truly ruined our entire experience.

Amazing! My favorite vegan restaurant. They have everything I love. Variety, healthy options, a seasonal transitioning menu and a very warming experience every time I've visited. My favorite was seeing a customers pet pig outside with her owner, they seemed to love the food here as well ❤

The just egg and cheese sandwich was amazing!! The pesto, the bread, the level of toastiness on the sandwich, it was delicious! Super cute place with cozy plants. I also got a mocha with their homemade coconut caramel sauce which was delicious. I'll definitely be coming back!

Love Nectar Cafe. The servers are always so kind and attentive, and the food is really solid. I always get the Hollywood Scramble, which has a really nice miso gravy that makes the whole dish. I also always order a matcha latte, which comes with cute latte art that I so appreciate! Pro tip - get the berry bar. Even if you think you're full. Get the berry bar. It's truly one of the best I've ever had!

French press coffee, waffles with berry compote, and a division scramble. Had some delicious vegan sausage across the top of the scramble and some sourdough toast. Great smells. Tasted good. My wife had waffles and a latte. We left with a cookie, as well. Service was quick, even though we had a little hiccup with my son not wanting to sit in the restaurant initially. The staff was nice and one of them offered him a sticker, which calmed his anxiety a little. Good times. Would recommend if you are vegan and want a savory or a sweet breakfast. The breakfast burrito here has a kick, and it's huge. You're definitely going to get your bang for your buck.

Not pictured here is the potato waffle with gravy on the side. It's not pictured because we can help ourselves from digging in right away. The waffle itself is well-crafted, but the gravy is the show winner of this exhibition. Almost like a side soup, you could eat it by the spoonful alone

12/10. Delicious food. So delicious. What are you doing not going there right now?? The Portland scramble is bursting with flavor that is diverse on the palette. The toast is even cooked to perfect. The French dip though... I am drooling just looking at this photo again.

I stay in Beaverton and it's about 30 min drive in the morning to this place. The food is totally worth the drive.

Seems hanging out w my vegan wife has me more often than not in the full vegan restaurants vice the vegan/carnivore combo. And this here was another full vegan that was very enjoyable for us both. We order & share everything. The broccoli cheddar soup was super super tasty. Burnside Scramble & the Autumn Bowl provided a delicious late lunch. And the Renew fresh juice (ginger, parsley, apple, celery, carrot) bammmm outta the park!!! Bright big windows, outside & inside seating. Nice bathroom. Great staff. And a banana nut loaf take home for dessert. Check it out!!

First meal in Portland was excellent! I had the Hollywood Scramble and Chai tea latte with pepper and cardamom syrup. I usually think chai drinks are too sweet but this one was perfect. My partner had Burnside Scramble and a bourbon coffee drink. All food and drinks were delicious! The neighborhood seems a little sketchy but I highly recommend this restaurant! Also our waitress Addy was very attentive and took great care of us!

My partner and I love this place so much! The barista makes the cutest coffee foam art and the service is always great. We love sitting outside and having breakfast and jamming out to their dynamite playlists as we soak up the yum. They make us feel like we are on vacation.

Incredible, amazing vegan food!! We only did take-out and I'm from out of the area, but I was so spoiled by this amazing food. It was incredibly delicious, and I had the best smoothie I've ever had in my life. Whenever I'm back in the area, I will absolutely be back!!

I've eaten here twice in last couple months when I came to Portland for family business. Most recent had breakfast sandwich Panini with vegan sausage and 'Just Egg'. I would probably skip the mustard on it next time. For me it didn't work. It was a pretty big sandwich and otherwise tasted good.
I got a couple of 'treats' for later. A carrot cake cupcake and banana bread. The carrot cake was tasty, especially the frosting. The banana bread had an odd oniony taste to it and I couldn't finish it.

The food here is SO GOOD that it's almost offensive. How dare an in-house vegan sausage taste that delicious? I was in town for 3 days and ate here twice. Was going to make it a third, but they weren't open before I went to the airport. Customer service was great, safety protocols were followed. I'll be dreaming about the Portland scramble for the rest of my life probably.

I came here with my friend for a final brunch before my flight back home. We had originally wanted to go to another brunch spot with some vegan pancakes but they required reservations and were all out until the afternoon. No dice. Undeterred, my friend pulled out her phone and found this gem!

My favorite place in Oregon!!! Love the atmosphere of this small place, stuff is very friendly. Smoothies are well combined with all good ingredients, very tasty. Had their potato pancake, it’s the most awesome breakfast I had. And the Apple pancake was awesome too. Anyways, easily a 5 star place. Now every time I come to Portland I’ll visit this place!
