We pride ourselves on providing not just high-quality, tasty food, but the entire table service experience. Please be aware, our kitchen is very small and in order to ensure in-house guests receive the best possible experience, at certain times we may not be able to accommodate your take out order. Thank you in advance for your support! At the Tin Shed we rotate artwork from local artists every month. In a true desire to help artists be artist, we do not take any commission from artwork sales.
Services
In the beginning it was only the two of them, Janette in the kitchen and Christie out front, both of them bootstrapping the conversion of an old coffee shop into a full-service restaurant. Days started early with food prep and ran long with guests to serve until late afternoon, then clean-up and admin duties before heading to their second shifts serving tables elsewhere to pay the bills.
Your fur baby is welcome to join you in our outdoor patio dining area (floor only, please). In fact, if you purchase a Tin Shed Doggie Bandana we'll donate all proceeds to our 2020 recipient, Puplandia Dog Rescue. Come visit us again with your pooch wearing the bandana and enjoy half off their next doggie meal.

I've been to many brunch places in Portland and can say that Tin Shed Garden Cafe, although not my favorite, does provide a hearty brunch at a reasonable price.
My sister and I got the "Everything Nice" plate and the "Big Hit Burrito" to share. After the many 5-star reviews we had read on Yelp, we were expecting absolute perfection for each dish. However, I personally felt like the flavors were a little lacking and the food was not spiced enough to my liking. The biggest hit were the potato cakes that we requested on the side. Similar to a latke, I think they did a splendid

Let me start this with "if you've read this far- you are in for a treat!" I love tin shed! Local eats, dog friendly and yummy drinks! It's always a good time here. Bring your friends, family or your significant other and your vaccine card nowadays! This place has become quite popular from tourists and locals so make sure you book a table ahead! Food- I got the everything naughty and it was great!! A bit if everything- the housemade biscuit with a mix of the rosemary and sausage gravy was on point. Pro tip- Save a piece to try their housemade jam! Everything else in my plate

Came here for the first time today on a Wednesday morning. Not too busy. Came previously on a weekend and the wait time was around 2-3hrs so I definitely suggest making a reservation for the weekends/holidays. Food was great! The biscuits without the gravy tasted fresh - the top was crunchy and the inside did not break apart (not dry). The rosemary mushroom gravy was delicious - flavorful and light. Food was a little on the pricier side, but I've gone to other places with similar prices and this place tasted better.

I was really hoping to love this place as we had passed by numerous times and there was always a line. In fact, this time, although I went on a random Monday, we still had to get on a waitlist to get a spot.
After 45 minutes (which gave us ample time to go get baked goods from another local bakery), we returned to be seated. They have two wings in the restaurant - one that is located immediately upon entering, and then another that is accessed via a doorway that leads to a small bar area and second wing of the restaurant.
We ordered the Chicha Morada for a drink, and for main plates, we ordered

Place was a bit pricey but pretty good. I had the eggs Benedict which was good but not great. It came out cold unfortunately and the sauce was kinda bland. Nothing special. The potatoe pancakes were delish tho. And my boyfriend seemed to really like his. The gravy was tasty and their raspberry jam is good as well. Next time I will order something else

We are relatively new to Portland, but honestly, this is my favorite place to get a nice vibe-y breakfast. The aesthetic is amazing, almost the entire restaurant is outside and the food tastes homemade. I get the same thing every time we go, because I can't seem to stray from it, but it's proven to be worthy EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Oh, you want to know what it is that I'm obsessed with? THE GOOD DOG SCRAMBLE. It's just so hearty and delicious and served with a fresh biscuit and homemade raspberry jam. Like what? It's awesome. Definitely a great spot to dine in Portland.

Oh my fricken baby Jesus! Where has this been all of my life?! Visiting from Bellevue, WA and this is now our new favorite go-to spot for breakfast when we visit the area. Chris was our server and she made the experience just ABSOLUTELY spectacular! 20/10 for service and food! Highly highly recommend! Bold flavors and so much options on one plate (my favorite part)!

One of best places to have breakfast for sure! Even plain potato wedges are incredibly good! Not over or under seasoned, perfect amount and the cocktails are great too! Sheds on fire cocktail became my favorite for the winter right away! Great food, nice drinks, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, what else you need?

I really liked this place! They take reservations so it was super easy to reserve a spot the night before for breakfast Sunday morning. This is fabulous because anywhere good in Portland you're going to either have to go super early or wait a while. My reservation was for 9:15am and this place was already hopping by that time. But super easy to verify the reservation then get seated. There was a good variety of food options and I went with a plate that had a mixture of sweet and savory. The food was delicious and hit the spot!! Bacon was perfectly crispy, eggs fluffy, and the French toast

Tin Shed is the epitome of "Portland knows how to do brunch right"! Here are some bonus points about Tin Shed - they take reservations!! They allow dogs!! Their food is unique, homemade, and not your diner-style breakfast fare!
I made a reservation for Monday, and when we arrived, we were greeted and seated promptly. Their tables are nicely spaced apart and they're currently only offering online menus.
We ordered their Veggie Pesto, Everything Naughty, and Good Dog scramble. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but it was understandable as they were busy. It was so goood

Why did it take me SO long to come here?!?!?!
This place is over the top amazing!
Warning...there is quite a wait but it is absolutely worth it.
Ordered the stay w/mushroom gravy and good dog. I absolutely loved mine!!! The veggies were so fresh even though they were blanketed in the most over the top drool invoking delicious gravy. (Don't stress about the lack of meat. I did and had ordered sausage on the side but realized it was absolutely unnecessary).
The hubster thought his was crazy hot (I mean, it does have jalapenos in it) but he still ate 3/4! Lol
Ok....so I have a confession. I'm

This was my second time at Tin Shed! As a vegan, I ordered the southwest bowl ($17)! It was delicious with lots of flavor. The Latin-spiced tofu was salty to me, but it mixed very well with the sweet potato.
My friend ordered the special sandwich of the day with pesto, scrambled eggs, (meat?) with potato fritters. While, another ordered you gotta have it ($14) with a vegan sausage patty, hash cake, and eggs.
I really appreciated the service--very bright and bubbly servers and hostesses!

Delish- ous!!! Got the southwest bowl with sauce on the side and gluten free toast. Yum! Perfectly blended flavors. Also got veggie pesto scramble shared with Mom. Again, super delicious. All ingredients cooked perfectly. Not over or under cooked. So refreshing. I love when I find a veggie dominant dish that tastes this good.
I appreciated how well distanced the tables were and the good amount of shade. The atmosphere is so cozy and comfy..Now you need to open one in Columbus, Ohio! 😄😆please!!!! For now I'll stop by whenever I visit Mom.

I'll just start off by saying, so far, Tin Shed has been my absolute favorite breakfast and brunch place. Super flexible when it comes to dietary needs, delicious food, and friendly service. Basically amazing -- in a nutshell.
I've been here twice, both times with reservations as required, though if you go in pretty early it looks like they will accommodate you as a walk in if they have space. There is both indoor and outdoor seating though with how they open up the place, sitting inside is basically a continuation with the outdoors.
I've tried the Everything Naughty a couple

Wonderful staff- I’m starting to think folks in Oregon are simply uber nice. Can’t say it was the best breakfast burrito I’ve had but the ingredients tastes fresh. I’m glad it opens at 7am on weekends to allow me to fuel up for my hike right after. You do need a reservation right now. I didn’t realize this and walked in. The hostess was kind enough to give me a seat. I tried to be as quick as possible but the place did fill up by then time I left, so try to plan accordingly. I am eyeing their eggs Benedict though so I just might come back soon!

Truly my favorite go-to spot for brunch in Portland! This was actually the place that converted me into liking biscuits!! My partner and I always split the Good Dog and the Stay, but there's really nothing on the menu you can go wrong with. I love how you have the option to try both gravy's on the Stay, but I think I definitely prefer the sausage gravy over the mushroom. The spicy sauce on the Good Dog is nooo joke, and I'm here for it!! So just a warning if you can't tolerate spice too well. And how can I forget, their biscuit is truly life changing, it's so soft and fluffy

We were super excited to go to Tin Shed during our time in Portland after hearing good things. Unfortunately there was a very long wait (so many people out on a Wednesday around 1pm!), but we got on the list, spent some time shopping nearby, and ultimately got seated after about an hour, a little longer than the time they shared. When we were waiting for our table, the servers were great and brought us drinks and water, which I appreciated.
We sat in the cute patio area near the street which was nicely shaded and overall super cute. My friend ordered a burger and the potato wedges, and I got

After 3+ years in PDX I have finally discovered Tin Shed! And after my first bite, it 100% became my new favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Portland.
My boyfriend and I made a reservation online and were able to be seated right away. We ordered bloody mary's to start and they were awesome.
I ordered the Good Dog scramble with a biscuit and a side of the mushroom-rosemary gravy and my boyfriend got the Everything Naughty with the bacon gravy (we had to try them both!) and everything was absolutely delicious.
Our server was so kind and helpful as well. Service was top notch, quick, attentive
