I saw Dr. Chen on 9/24 for a wart removal. I waited for a half hour for him to come back and see me. He then offered to remove the wart which i agreed to. He offered me no numbing solution at all before he dug into my wart, cutting, filling, and freezing with me in agonizing pain. He also told me i would need to come back 3 or 4 times to remove it. He also missed a good portion of the wart and caused 2 pretty massive blood blisters on surrounding location. His practices are barbaric, and would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr Chen is the seccond dermatologist I've seen. The first one who is a resident for riverside rushed me and spent about 3 minutes looking over my skin. I decided to make another appointment and chose Dr Chen. He was friendly thorough and explained what was going on. I thought he gave me unrushed attention. I would reccomend him to friends.

Went 1 month ago and waited for over 45 mins to be shown into the exam room. We were given this dr for my sons wart removal. Wasn’t very personable. Made another appointment for today. After waiting 45 mins I asked the receptionist if our appointment was for the correct time. She confirmed it was and said the dr was finishing up in surgery and would be with us shortly. After 1 hr he finally saw us and asked how things were. Told him fine, except for waiting and hour. He said same about surgery and I said well, we have things that need done as well and maybe not double book or have appointments

First of all he is an excellent Dermatologist! You may not think he is friendly but he is serious about his profession and needs to concentrate while he is in the room. I would much rather have this then a doctor that laughs and jokes but sends be home 5 minutes after he gets in the room because he needs the money for his new boat! I do not know Dr. Chen outside of his practice. I am simply a very satisfied patient.

I had an appointment with doctor Chen yesterday and for a family issue I couldn’t make it. I call today to get a reschedule and I has been said that doctor refuses to give me another appointment and treat me. I am still in shock. Is he not going against the Hippocratic Oath? It is the first time I could make an appointment and honestly I agree those who wrote about lack of compassion and humane treatment with their patients. This is the kind of doctor all about money.

I suspect the 5 stars are the doctor’s friends or family. Or he might treat rich-looking people differently. Wait time is half an hour and treat time is 5 mins. Dr. Chen has very little interest in hearing about my problems and answering my questions. He cut me off many times and humiliated me after I brought up my concerns. All he is interested in is to throw you a piece of prescription and leave the room as fast as possible.
Honestly this is probably the worst ever experience I had with any doctor in my whole life. No humanity or any respect. Even though they accept your insurance, don’t

My husband, my children, and I were all patients at this practice. We've all switched to another provider who is competent, compassionate, and caring. This was not our experience at this practice. A few years later, I have an area of concern that was previously biposied and abnormal, so my current dermatologist reasonably wants to compare previous records and pathology reports to the current situation before possibly unnecessarily making me endure the pain and cost of another biopsy. I contacted this office and they informed me that I had a balance from when I was a patient there. This was likely

My family physician recommended Dr. Chen for a small bump on my back. He said it was likely a broken blood vessel and would have the lab do a biopsy to be sure. I was able to get to see quickly. He removed the bump and checked me out for any abnormal bumps, moles etc. He is not very personable but I do feel he knows what he is talking about. He could work on being friendlier and have a better "bed side manner".

My husband and I both see Dr. Chen and have both always been pleased with our care. Dr. Chen is very personable and professional. The staff are equally professional, efficient and helpful. Dr. Chen saved my life detecting skin cancer at a very early stage. I had been to a different dermatologist within 3 months prior, who only focused on anti-aging treatments and did not even suggest a mole check. I will be forever thankful for his expertise. I honestly was shocked to see these poor reviews when I googled to find his number. I just had a visit today and felt compelled to share my experience, as

10/10 do not recommend. I went to Dr. Chen, who spent five minutes with me, told me there was nothing he could do for my issues (that I should see an eye surgeon for a small milia near my eye) and left. I went to another dermatologist, who was not rude, spent time looking at my moles, and easily took care of the milia near my eye.
If you want someone who is just trying to get patients in and out their door, without actually taking time to look at you and help, Dr, Chen's your guy. If not, I recommend going elsewhere.
