Many skin conditions can be uncomfortable, unsightly and disconcerting. Some common skin problems can lead you to websites where you immediately think of the worst case scenario; life threatening skin cancer. The fact is that many common skin conditions can be treated swiftly and permanently when diagnosed properly by a Dermatologist.
Acne is the most common skin condition in the United States. Most of those affected are teenagers, but it can last into adulthood for many men and women. Acne is caused by a combination of bacteria, clogged pores and hormones. Without treatment, permanent scars and dark spots can develop which can affect a person's self-esteem.
Allergic contact dermatitis is an immune response to an allergen that makes contact with the skin. The classic example is poison ivy. It can be severely itchy and cause blisters, oozing, redness, swelling and scaling. The allergens that cause these reactions can be found in natural materials like plants and animals, but can also be found in products in your home environment or those used for skin care.
The most common areas excessively exposed to the sun are the face, scalp, lower lip and the backs of hands. Anyone who has many AKs should be seen by a dermatologist for treatment and skin cancer monitoring. If left untreated, AKs have the potential to turn into a type of skin cancer called Squamous Cell Carcinoma, which requires surgery for treatment.

I haven't even been to this office yet and already they've left a bad taste in my mouth. First of all the girl who took my call sounded very unpleasant/unfriendly on the phone. She took my personal information but never asked what I needed to be seen for. I asked for a dermatologist. She booked me with PA and I didn't notice until I registered on Breeze. I've been calling this location (dublin) every since trying to get ahold of them but no one answers the phone. I tried calling at different times throughout the day and that didn't work. I left a voicemail and no called me back . Its been 2 days

If you want to feel like an honored guest at your dermatologist, look no further. This, by far, is the most welcoming and professional practice I have encountered in my 70+ years on this planet. The moment you walk in the door you are warmly greeted, taken to the examination area promptly, addressed politely, and treated with respect and courtesy. History, examination, treatment options, and follow-ups are done in a most exemplary manner. It is difficulty to describe this practice without using a plethora of superlatives. I intend to be a patient of theirs for the rest of my life!

Rude staff. Requirement for credit card on file is not specified prior to the appointment (which they probably can't even protect anyway), I was denied service for refusing to provide this, wasn't even asked if I would be willing to pay in advance. All this with a top medical insurance plan. Total waste of time. Avoid.

Don’t waste your time and money. After spending money on treatment and telling us that we can return if did not work We have been told our problem is genetic. We tried to return the treatment as we have been told they told us to call the manager. We called and the same answer we can’t return it even though we call them 10 days before our appointment and explained that the treatment is not working they recommend that we keep using it. Waste People time and money is really good way to keep customers.

I’ve got worse after treatment of Dr Scandamis and his steroid ointments. The ointment helped and my puffiness had gone, but then it recurred back and back!
And after the first time of my treatment, when I got better, Dr Scandamis didn’t want to look at it, he didn’t want to do any lab tests, he just recommended to use it more. But my skin became sick of using the steroid ointment. And now, I don’t really know how to treat my skin atrophy.
Please avoid this doctor!

New to the area and needed another treatment. After researching dermatologist with laser services in the Columbus area I made appt with Universal Dermatology. I got in quickly and the staff was friendly and professional. I was pleasantly surprised on how much extra care I received here as opposed to my last place. I was so pleased that I scheduled another two sessions.

Dr Skandamis was very professional and attentive. I struggle with anxiety especially in regards to seeing a new Dr and this practice put me at ease. The staff was very polite. I've been to doctors offices before where the staff seemed bored and sluggish. The staff at this office all seemed so happy to be there. It was overall a great experience and I would recommend going there.
