Gossen Funeral Home
Life is full of opportunities to show someone we love them. One such opportunity is the funeral or memorial service. Such a loving event celebrates the choices they made, the relationship you shared, and honors the memory of your loved one. It's important to take the time to acknowledge the uniqueness of the deceased: the individuality of their personality, and the uniqueness of their life's path.

Not just for them, but for you; it affirms the relationship, and leads to healing after loss. Honoring their life is truly an act of love - for the both of you. Taking the time to design your service is a loving act, and not a difficult one. We invite you to explore the seemingly infinite number of ways to celebrate and honor a life.
Services
We'll be pleased to welcome your visit to our warm and comfortable offices. Gossen Funeral Home Inc. was designed to be unlike any funeral home you've ever seen; it's truly a one-of-a-kind place. We invite you to come in and see for yourself how we're revolutionizing the way you think about funeral service.
And we promise to always respond with honesty and clarity. We've made it simple for you too -you can email us, connect with a member of our staff by phone, or simply stop in to our office. We ask just one thing: if you have immediate need of us, please call (337) 334-3141. We'll be pleased to welcome your visit to our warm and comfortable offices.
Honoring the achievements of your loved ones and celebrating the life you shared together are the cornerstones of healing after loss. Honoring the life of your loved one means you value the relationship you shared. We look forward to helping you decide how to celebrate that bond, and honor the unique individual you've lost.
There are two facets of the design process. First, we ask you to consider how you wish to honor and celebrate the life. When those important decisions are made, we'll turn to the issue of how you wish to care for the physical remains. It's about bringing those you love together, at a time of loss. It's a natural thing to do, and over time, has become a socially-expected practice.
All too often, families discount the value of ceremony after the death of a loved one, and we certainly don't want you to make that mistake. Coming together after a loss is a very essential part of the grieving process. In the depth of early grief, you might think that it would be 'easier' to just take care of things as simply - and as quickly -as possible.

The team at Gossen was helpful in answering my questions. Their website is “user friendly” for those who might have a harder time leaving digital messages on the obituary page. I am very thankful for this Funeral Home for creating such a seamless process in such a difficult time.

On behalf of the management and staff of John's Ridout's Elmwood Chapel our condolences go out to the Petitjean Family. Thanks for allowing us to have your loved one in our care in Alabama. Special thanks go out to Jarrod Gardiner (Funeral Director of Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne La.) for receiving her into your care with great honor and compassion and going the extra mile. My husband had passed away recently and they took excellent care of me and my family. They were professional, courteous, and patient. They understood what we were going thru and walked me thru everything step by step. They paid attention to every detail...I was originally worried about allowing my son to see his father in that state, but they did such a remarkable job with him...it made it a little easier to say goodbye....I truly appreciate everything they did for us.

I was quite appalled by the way the funeral home rushed our family off from the cemetery. Apparently due to their poor planning and inabilities to manage more than one funeral at a time, we were told to leave the grave site multiple times!

My aunt was passed through here. For a small town funeral home , they did just fine in meeting the needs & wants of our family. One small minor detail that I'm sure no one cares about , is vanity the chapel itself is outdated with tacky gold curtain rods and no windows in the chapel at all. Other than that it's a fine establishment. But I myself wouldn't want to be passed through here.
