Fran Cove Motel offers clean, comfortable, affordable lodging minutes from all that Lake George Village has to offer in a quiet setting away from the congestion and noise. We offer complimentary coffee each morning in the office to our guests and pay attention to the details that make for a pleasant stay.
Deposits are only refunded if the reservation is cancelled 7 days in advance, and a $15.00 service charge applies on all cancellations. A one night deposit is required to reserve your room. Your deposit will only be refunded if cancelled at least 7 days in advance of your arrival. There are no refunds for early departures.
Fran Cove Motel is a great place to have fun with the family or just relax! You can enjoy your day just relaxing by the pool or the playground. Or listen to the sounds of English Brook running along the edge of our property while you eat out in our picnic area. It's truly a great place to spend with your family and friends.

Why would an eight year old be starting the check in process? Why people with a bit of an edge and attitude be at front desk and you are going to be paying them? We have been staying at Fran's Cove for nearly 12 years and up until the new owners took over it was great. The new owners are awful and have terrible customer service. MY DISABLED MOTHER FELL ON THEIR PROPERTY DUE THEM NOT ADHERING THEIR OFFICE RUG PROPERLY TO THE GROUND AND SPRAINED HER ANKLE 2 YEARS AGO and while they offered to give us a refund then, we had a reservation this year and we arrived and they REFUSED US SERVICE AFTER WE ALREADY HAD A RESERVATION because "she caused them issues in the past" when they were at fault for her falling. Fran Cove is wonderful. We tend to book our rooms spontaneously and they always have an amazing deal for us! The rooms are are clean, the pool is nice and clear and the staff takes care of us!
The building is surrounded by the beautiful forest and I always get some amazing shots of the moon on a clear night! 10 out of 10, we will be back! It is always our first call when visiting the area and we need a place to stay!!
My only complaint is they are seasonal and when it is out of season or they are full and we can't stay there!!!

Grandma and mom stayed with 5 children. Excellent!!! Nice pool for kids. Playground and basketball. Trolley that goes into lake George. Pleasant owners and very accommodating. Will stay here again.
Only reason 4 stars is the plugs were loose. So charging was difficult. Some of the lights did not work. But if you got kids ..this is the place to stay

If I could give my experience zero stars. I definitely would. My family and I have been going to Fran Cove for many years. This was our first time since the motel is under new ownership. The experience was not a good one. When my family and I first checked into our room, the carbon monoxide detector was going off. They took it down and never brought it back after we' asked several times about it. The bathroom was falling apart and dirty. Two out of the three lights , were not working in the bathroom. Don't fall for the pretty pictures on the computer. Booking.com reviews were okay and said it was clean, so why did my shoes stick to the bathroom floor? The outdoor "room" where the ice machine is was filthy. There is an ancient microwave there and the grime on top of it was disgusting. The towels were threadbare and they actually asked us to re-use them. The only positive thing I can say is that the young man who checked us in was very pleasant and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and spend $10.00 or $20.00 more and get nicer place.

The Fran cove motel was perfect for a recent getaway. Although it is family friendly, it is quiet and also perfect for couples looking for some peace and quiet. It is very budget- friendly and the rates are reasonable. The rooms are modest, but very clean, well-kept and tasteful. You won't find any of the cheesy 70's wall art that so often decorates motels here!! Growing up I stayed at the place across the street, but when I tried to book a room last year was told there were no rooms. I looked up this place and was quite happy to have given it a try. The owners are personable and willing to help with things such as late arrivals and last minute requests to extend a stay if needed. The pool/playground areas are a plus for families.
