Dr. Hugh Davis was selected for the inaugural class of Tufts Veterinary in Massachusetts. In his 30 years of practice, he has focused on top quality medicine with a common sense approach that concentrates on the pet and engages the owner. He has worked in rural locations and in Boston, in single and multi-doctor practices, and also emergency medicine.
Northwood Veterinary Hospital has been around for about 30 years, but it has been owned by Dr. Hugh Davis, our expert veterinarian, since 2015. In that time, Dr. Davis has been providing outstanding vet care to help keep pets healthy and happy. We are proud to offer various services to the Northwood animal community.
Our doctors and support team are dedicated to providing personalized care - whether your first visit is for an annual preventative exam, a geriatric consult or seeking help with an acute illness or problem, we are here to provide a complete experience. If you wish to schedule an annual exam, vaccines or a tech visit, you may do that online.
When you come to Northwood Veterinary Hospital, you can expect quality and compassionate care for your pet. When you arrive you will be greeted by our front desk staff, we will review the information you submitted online or gave us over the phone to make sure we have all the correct details for our files.

We brought our 16 year old dog in for an exam due to urine issues. Near the end of her appointment my wife asked if we could get her nails clipped. She said yes no problem and took her out back. I personally don't like doing her nail clippings because she has long quicks. The vet technician came back and said she was struggling with the nail clipping so she stopped. We got home and let her in the house. My wife noticed blood everywhere she went and was all over our cream colored area rug! I understand that the quicks can get clipped and bleeding can happen as I have had this happen myself. However

We took our Chihuahua, Rico, in for a dental. The staff was very communicative, patient and understanding. They took excellent care of our boy and followed up after his dental. Rico recovered quickly and felt great even the day after his procedure. We are now planning to take our other dog in for a dental. We highly recommend Northwood Veterinary Hospital.

My cats and dog both see Dr. Treat and she is wonderful. She truly cares about what is best for the animals but also understands that there are budgets to work within so she gives you the pros and cons of each option she presents. My dog Josie adores going to the vet and seeing Dr. Treat and Co. My cats are... cats about it.

My girl has been seeing Dr. Davis off and on since I got her.
Recently she was diagnosed with cancer. It wasn't what we wanted to hear, but the vet gave us all the information we needed and helped us make a game plan for how we will help her feel good her last days. The staff is always kind and courteous and so good to my girl.
They always comment on how sweet she is.

This is my go to Vet. They always care for my pets like they are their own.
I trust them implicitly. They were so compassionate when I had to send my girl 'Mama Cat' over the rainbow bridge. They were her vet for several years when we moved to the area. Recently, they have been there for my new boy 'Rocky' . He got his shots, and recently neutered. They always take the best care. You can go to them confident in the care your furry family will get.....Thanks Northwood Veterinary....
