So I’m 19 an my boyfriend is 21. He paid the fee for the application an finished his part but put me as a co-applicant . Well turns out you have to be 21 in order to be any form of applicant. They don’t post it. So if you’re under the age of 21 or born after 2000 you can’t apply to Walnut Hill Apartments. The application fee isn’t refundable.

Dont bother black mold gave me asthma. Had to go the ER in order to breath and get my Polmonologist to write a letter to get out of the lethal lease. As if I was lying. Horrible people. They actually laughed at me like heathens with no class. You are how you act

When I started apartment hunting I found walnut hills had the most to offer in my price range. Marge in the leasing office has been especially helpful, compassionate, and amazing. She helped me from start to finish and is very good at what she does. During this pandemic, I have to say I’m glad I live here and not somewhere else. Every step to stop the spread was taken and not to mention they are very understanding of the hardship situations at this time.

Oh how I wish I could give 0 stars. I've lived here for 8 months and I hate it. If I could cut my lease short I would have left here 6 months ago. I've lived in an apartment before and never have I ever been able to hear so much noise from other residents. I am currently listening to the child and early 20 year olds scream from across the hall- which is nothing new. I can hear the guy below me talking on the phone. I COULD HEAR SOMEONE SNEEZE THE OTHER DAY! I lived in a duplex and couldn't hear a peep out of my landlord downstairs so this is ridiculous. Not worth almost $700 in rent.

Lived here for three years and was sad to leave. The customer service was always top notch.
The office manager, Marge, always promptly returned my calls, maintenance always came right away no questions asked, etc. We were always well taken care of.
Rent was more than fair. The apartment kitchen was recently updated when we moved in and everything was cleaned and in working order.
If you’re concerned about noise, this place is good for you. I never once heard my neighbors while in my apartment. Now granted, we did live on the top floor so I didn’t have the chance to hear stomping above me

Rating a 4 star because we have only been here a couple days and parking at night is definitely a challenge, but when we moved in everything was extremely clean minus the AC (which isn't a big deal, wasn't that dirty and can just clean it up quickly myself). The toilet, shower, carpet, dishwasher, oven, fridge, all looked so clean and brand new. Office has been so nice. Had a bee problem and an exterminator was out here in less than 2 hrs and got the job done, no more bees. No sound from other neighbors, secure building. So far so great! We look forward to our stay here.

Positives:
- High value per square foot. I have 842 square feet but only pay $715 (initially $640) per month in year five, with average rent increase of $15
- Heat & water included
- Garage space: $25
- Tons of closet space
- Picnic area in back of lot
- Policy prevents tenants from leaving trash/stuff in hallways
- Near MetroParks, six-minute drive from highway, 10-minute drive from mall
- Maintenance is responsive & requires consent to enter

Neutral aspects:
- Non-heated, community pool outside
- Laundry: $1.70 per cycle
- Wooden, storage lockers behind locked door next to laundry room

We have lived here for over a year now and have enjoyed our two bedroom apartment. Having lived in apartments before, the leasing office staff is the nicest and most understanding. This is a huge plus! We have had very few reasons for maintenance to come out to our place but they always seem to in a timely fashion.
A downside is that parking seems to fill up really quickly. Extra spaces are needed.

I've lived in these apartments for 3 months now. Overall... great value. I pay 470 for a 1 br, first floor, with a GREAT view of the woods. Spring for the wooded view... so worth it to not have to look at the parking lot.
The maintenance guy is timely. My one complaint is the parking! It stinks. If I get home past 9 or 10 on any given night, I might have to park on the other side of the complex! I could get a garage... but they don't even have remotes, and I don't think there are any available by my building. I think there's more parking in some of the buildings near the back of the complex, so
