My parent was a resident on the long term care service. When our parent was admitted, one of the professional staff recommended that we hire private duty caregivers if we wanted our family member to get adequate care. This was spot-on advice as residents with dementia are at the mercy of the staff. But even with 24 hour private duty care, we could not totally protect our parent from being dropped in the shower twice, getting incorrect medication, falling out of bed multiple times, clothes and belongings stolen and numerous other problems. The RNs and LPNs spend most of their time at the computer

If I could, I would give Whitehall 10 stars! Here's why . . .Over the July 4th weekend of this year I suffered a fall from the roof of my house. I ended up with many broken bones, serious surgery, and constant pain. After a week in the hospital I selected physical therapy at Whitehall of Deerfield. I spent two weeks there and made remarkable progress towards normalcy thanks to the amazing staff. Specifically, their rehab program required therapy three times a day, seven days a week. Nurses and other care givers looked in on me often 24 hrs a day. When I needed assistance there was always someone

After my total knee replacement I spent 12 days at Whitehall. They exceeded my expectations. The staff was kind and attentive, my physical therapists were patient with my questions, the facility was very clean, and the meals were tasty. I would recomend Whitehall when needing post-surgical care. I would return again if I needed their services.

My 85 year old mother with dementia was recovering from a fall while at her independent care facility, subsequent hospital visit, admission to a different rehab center where she then proceeded to test positive for Covid, get diagnosed with pneumonia, contract two dvt's and a raging uti--all within the first two weeks of her stay. We urgently transferred her to Whitehall where she received exceptional NURSING care and PT.

My mother stayed here before after her knee surgery, and she's here again because she has significant health needs following a stroke, I thought it would be safe for her to be here and it turns out I was wrong. She now has covid and has many comorbidities, and I don't know what will happen. I'm hurt, furious and heatbroken that the carelessness of the staff would do this not just to my mother, but over 50 other mothers, fathers, uncles and aunts in the facility. Shame on Whitehall.

My father was just in Whitehall of Deerfield. Since I am out of town, he needed help after he fell and dislocated his hip (along with Dementia). We were SO HAPPY with the care he got there, OMG! Trust me when I tell you that these people who work there are saints. I felt so bad that due to covid, I couldn’t be there but the social worker kept in touch with me every day. I was worried as I was not familiar with the place at all but everyone told me that Whitehall was the only place to go for rehab! They were right. When he left, he was sad to leave. We are actually considering having him stay

I know how easy it is to write negative reviews for places when we are not happy but its always nice to say good things when I see them happen. My mom was recovering at Whitehall of Deerfield a few weeks ago during COVID. I was completely impressed with staff and all they did for her in her recovery. I have to be honest that we were worried about sending my mom to rehab but I am SO GLAD that we did as it helped her so much.
