Suboxone is a brand name prescription medicine that contains the active ingredients buprenorphine and naloxone. It is used to treat adults who are dependent on opioids. In 2002, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Suboxone for treatment of opiate addiction.
A 2015 study conducted by Harvard University determined that Suboxone in conjunction with therapy and/or counseling at least triples the probability an individual will achieve opioid abstinence during active treatment versus counseling alone.When someone is abusing opioids, the opioids bind to the neuroreceptors in the brain providing euphoria and pain relief.

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor and have referred numerous clients to Brightside Clinic. I cannot say enough good about the care given to clients. Every person has come back to me saying Brightside has saved their life. One client even described Dr. Kushner answering his cell phone any time she calls in a moment of crisis. This is beyond incredible and I'm so grateful for the care Brightside provides.

This place is a rip off. I was desperate to get off of opiates so I so I went to brightside and was put on subutex. Traded one addiction for another.. Subutex is harder to get off than any opiates.$250 for intake then $200 every month. Ripoff. Thankfully I found a place that changed me $80 fo everything!

Brightside is an amazing clinic and Dr. Kushner and staff are absolutely the best. He goes above and beyond for me always, and has since day 1 as I’m sure he does for all his patients.
He’s there for me even when it doesn’t pertain to my treatment at Brightside in regards to medical questions most clinics couldn’t offer as he is/was also an internal medicine Doctor as well as an addiction doctor/specialist. I can count on him no matter what. So if you need help believe me you will be choosing the best place to go if you go to Brightside.
The front staff are also amazing and caring always

The staff here is always kind and caring. Dr Kushner is amazing. It’s almost like talking to an old friend. I successfully weaned down in about 6 months and am now drug free. I will truly miss talking with Dr. K and I know he will always be there if I ever need him in the future. I highly recommend the Brightside clinic in Northbrook

I can't believe that I found Brightside! I had been prescribed opioids for over 12 years and my doctor was retiring. I had searched out some doctors that did suboxone treatment because I had tried it years ago and it worked. I sadly was in so much pain they were prescribed to me again. I called at least 3 doctors that never called me back and I was on my last few pills. I did not want to go thru withdrawal!!! I Googled northern suburban docs -suboxone. Brightside came up and I called right away and they got me in right away! They saved my life!!! The doctors and everyone else there is so nice.

I have been coming here for the past 3.5 years and absolutely love this clinic!! The staff is super friendly and really gets to know their patients on a more personal level, which is pretty much non-existent in other doctors offices nowadays. I always look forward to my appointments here- the staff helps me celebrate my recovery milestones and always listens to any problems I have whether they're recovery related or not. I drive an hour each way to get here and have to pay each month out of pocket for the visits, but I'm happy to do so cuz I know I'm getting the best possible care and really feel
