HBC Inc. was incorporated in 1986 by two nurses who saw a need for medical billing specialists. The owners, Evelyn Witters and Georgia Irvin, were office managers in multi-specialty groups and found themselves with an opportunity to embark in another area of medicine. Their joint venture became a success when the local hospitals were recruiting new physicians to the area and were in need of a knowledgeable service to jumpstart the cash flow.
A Lock Box is a bank operated mailing address to which the medical practice directs insurance carriers and patients to send all correspondence and payments. The bank opens the incoming mail, deposits all monies received into the practice's account and scans all the paper information. The scanned images are sent securely for us to access daily.
