Exercise physiologist Robert A. Robergs says swimming is a good fitness choice for just about everyone, especially those who have physical limitations or who find other forms of exercise painful. Water's buoyancy accommodates the unfit as well as the fit. Water cushions stiff joints or fragile bones that might be injured by the impact of land exercises.
Add a little punch to your fitness plan with a fun and energizing Kickboxing workout. Kickboxing workouts consist of bag work, kicking and punching drills and conditioning exercises aimed at losing weight and improving muscle-tone and stamina. Kickboxing students typically burn between 800 and 1,200 calories an hour.
Step aerobics is a form of aerobic power distinguished from other types of aerobic exercise by its use of an elevated platform (the step). The height can be tailored to individual needs by inserting risers under the step. Step aerobics classes are offered here with many different levels of intensity.
While cardiovascular exercise is a great way to burn fat, adding a little strength training to your workouts will earn you extra calories every day. You'll even be burning extra calories while you're sleeping or sitting on the couch. Aerobic exercise may burn a few hundred extra calories for dinner, but for every additional pound of muscle you gain, your body burns around 50 extra calories every day of the week.

CDY Fitness is an excellent gym that has everything from weights, to yoga, to swimming and even boxing. As a weightlifter only, I like the organization of the weight rooms and the 24/7 member access. I really love the location too....very easy to get to at Hwy 47 and 61. More importantly, going to CDY Fitness is like going to a family member's house. Liz Drew, the owner, is very professional and friendly. She knows everyone on a first name basis. And the gym members are very friendly too. Whether you are a gym rat or a beginner, members at CDY Fitness are very friendly and supportive. I'm glad

I've been working out at CDY fitness for about 6 months. It's nothing fancy, but for a guy like me who needs a place to break a sweat and throw some weights around over a lunch break, it's perfect. Nice variety of machines, plenty of free weights, and big enough that I never have to wait for anything. Rates are affordable as well.

I recommend any gym but this gym. Every month they mess up my billing and I spend a week trying to fix it only for it to happen again the next month. In addition, the place is dirty. Ive never seen even the most basic of sanitizing happen. I did have a few training sessions, and while most of it was fine, the PT had me doing a few questionable moves with weights. I was worried I would hurt myself. But I was too chicken to question it more than once so I let it go. After this last billing issue I will flee this place as soon as possible.
