Donner is great with our animals! Very carrying and compassionate, always explains what to do with home care and his staff are also very professional. We can't thank him enough for the care he provides for our little friends. Donner and his staff seem really up on the latest info on dogs. Both my dogs have really been at ease here.

Lake Avenue Veterinary Clinic was established in 2008 by former owner Dr. Wayne Hodsden. Dr. Shane Donner acquired the practice in August of 2017 and is now the sole owner and practicing veterinarian at the facility. The goal of our practice is to provide high quality yet affordable veterinary medicine targeted towards dogs and cats.
Dr. Donner graduated with his DVM from Ontario Veterinary College in 2005, following achieving a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of Guelph, Ontario in 2001. He began as an associate veterinarian at the practice in 2011, before becoming the owner of the practice in 2017. He enjoys his daily interactions with clients and their pets and gets great gratification from helping others.
We now offer you an easier way to take care of your pet. Request appointments, medication refills and get alerts when your pet is coming due for medical care. I always feel comfortable taking my pets to Lake Ave Veterinary Clinic. Everyone is so helpful and friendly and they do their absolute best to put my pets at ease.
You guys are awesome and we Dr. Donner, he's so down to earth and seems like he's really in it for the animals and not the $$$$ which we absolutely love. He's honest, does not overcharge or tell you your animal needs a bazillion tests.he's the real deal! We have been with Lake ave since they started, and have always been happy with the staff and Vet.

They treated my dog Dezi, which was diagnosed with cancer. She had surgery and unfortunately the cancer came back and we had to put her to sleep. There wasn't a dry eye in the house I highly recommend all of them the staff is amazing Dr Donner is truly meant to be a vet he's wonderful.

Greeted when entering the lobby, and directed directly into an examination room. The nurse was very compassionate during my 136# Great Dane's initial examination. Within 3 min the Vet came in and performed a thorough exam after having asked me about my concerns. His decisiveness was very refreshingly welcoming, and you could tell he really loves all the animals he sees by his compassionate attitude and warmth.
The end results were very well expressed, and the exam bill was surprisingly very little.
You won't find a better Veterinary Clinic within 100 miles or more. 2 thumbs up!
