Cafe Efendi got its start in 2004. Its birthplace was a small somewhat historical house in the heart of Alpharetta. What was once the home of the first doctor in Alpharetta, became the home of Cafe Effendi. It was a unique concept at that time to have a Turkish restaurant in Alpharetta, but founder Suheyl "Hal" Buran had a vision for his restaurant's beginning.

This restaurant was $90 on New Years per person. This included a shared appetizer, salad dumped out of a bag, mixed grill plate that was sub par at best nothing fresh and a custard dessert. When we received the bill we were billed for a basked of bread three times for one basket. We were given 3 bottles of water at 2.49/ bottle without being told that was and extra charge as well in addition to the 90 charge. This restaurant was a total scam for what we received concerning service which then was a 26.00 tip per person sitting at the table. Do not go here and give these people your money all they

The cold Appetizer Sampler Lunch was entirely flavorful. We had also ordered falafel, hummus & pita, alongside the Lamb Chop appetizer. The lamb was cooked to order and fairly tasty. Café Efendi's house sauce/oil features savory spices and is equally notable as their plates. The Baklava was ordered for dessert. This layered pastry was leveled on the sweetness scale with nutty undertones but unfortunately was not as fresh as one would hope. Overall, the food is filling and easily excites the palate. We received our food expeditiously and to top everything off, had a charming server.

The ambiance was nice and the staff are friendly. Nice music and few people were dancing. Mediocre food. Falafel was undercooked and didn’t meet our taste and has told the waiter to convey the same to the Chef. Lamb and Chicken sauté were nice. Pomegranate Martini was perfect. It was too expensive for the quality of the food. Overall it was a disappointing experience.

This place is a scam, please double check your bill! I came here 4 years ago on a date and I noticed on the bill all of our entrées, appetizers and drinks had an extra few dollars added to it compared to what was on the menu. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said the menu 'was incorrect'. Ummm well then fix the bill and update your menu. I decided to give it another chance 4 years later and they are doing the same thing!!! I asked for the $7 house wine and they put a $13 wine on the bill. I asked for a $19 kebab and they charge me $22. I didn't say anything and just paid

What a fantastic place! We had such a blast at this amazing restaurant! It is truly a dinning experience! The atmosphere was so chill and our food was delicious!
The meat just melted on our mouths. We had a party of 7, and still got fantastic service. The belly dancer was so fun & the music they play in there sets the perfect vibe. I highly recommend!

We came here as a large party for a birthday celebration. I pre-coordinated the menu and drinks with the staff prior to the party and everything was delicious and wonderful! We had the hummus appetizer with pita followed by the mixed grill kebab platters. Splendid! We brought our own cakes and they were kind enough to sing and present the cakes. The DJ and belly dancers were great entertainment and the DJ played my song request. Everyone had a great time!

First of all i am born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey and extremely picky on food. Cafe Efendi served the best Turkish food I have ever eaten in United States. Their Lahmacun (Turkish Meat Pizza) is even better than most of the restaurants in Turkey. My girlfriends family loved their meals as well. We started ordering from them every other week.
So far we tried:
Döner 4/5
Lahmacun 5/5
Chicken Kebap 5/5
Sis Kebap 5/5
Cacik 4/5
Shepherds Salad 5/5
Babaganus 5/5
Cheese Pide 5/5 - left over for avocado toast
Home made yoghurt drink (Ayran) 5/5
Keep up the delicious food.
Teşekkürler
Afiyet olsun

Cafe Efendi is a Turkish restaurant located in Alpharetta. I came here mainly to see the belly dancer because there would be a free dance class.
My friend and I sat on the patio because it was a nice day to take a breath of fresh air.
I ordered the falafel platter and hummus. The falafel was a bit dry for my taste but the flavors were there. I did like the hummus.
Service was fine. Everything was just A-Okay so nothing memorable and not worth my drive to Alpharetta.
As for the free dance class, it was just my friend and I. We were disappointed with this in general.
