Time To Be Fit
TTBF was established in 1995 with the mission to provide a wide spectrum of fitness options in a small, personal environment. There are no monthly membership dues or fees at TTBF. You can choose from a "Menu" of training options at the beginning of each month that fit your schedule, budget and fitness goals.

Everyone that comes in our door is headed for a personal training type of experience, whether it is a 1-on-1 training or a group class. Each certified TTBF trainer has an understanding of each client's goals and limitations and will help provide modifications or challenges as may be appropriate. We offer Private and Semi-Private Training in addition to On-Line Group Exercise Classes.
Services
It is our mission to provide a movement practice that is safe and sustainable for every phase of life. Our Blend of Pilates/Yoga and Fitness experience allows us a library of tools to share with our clients to meet their needs and goals. Our small group approach makes it possible to give each participant a workout that is personalized.
Time To Be Fit (TTBF) is not a membership gym where you pay a monthly fee and have access to the facility at any time. There are no membership dues or fees. All in studio workouts are by appointment and all on-line classes are by registration. TTBF is a Personal Training Studio We offer duet and shared sessions of 3-5 participants.
We all are working to find the perfect balance between careers, work, family and friends. With these demands on our time, our personal fitness often takes a back seat. TTBF believes that combining different modalities with each workout session you can maintain a well balanced body and mind. Robyn's passion for movement started in her youth when she participated in competitive skating and track and field.
Pilates studios pride themselves on smaller class sizes, and defined class levels. This enables instructors to assist participants with the subtleties of the exercises. Defined class levels helps participants to select the most appropriate workout for their fitness levels and orthopedic health. Pilates is unlike any other form of exercise, especially in its demands on the deep abdominal muscles, and other stabilizers of the spine.

I have my health, strength and flexibility back... after two fractures and a frozen shoulder. Robyn and Shenan are thoughtful, wise, highly educated and trained in the mechanics of the body and body dynamics, and personally attentive. The cost per class is higher than a gym membership if you go often enough to do consistent work. But it’s the only body you have so it makes sense to take care of it, so it will take care of you. I am so glad Robyn and Greg opened their own space. They have s team of true healers. Thank you. 🙏

Was visiting from out of town and had an amazing Pilates personal training with Shenan. So sorry I didn't come earlier in my stay so that I could have come multiple times. I've done Pilates off and on for years and really appreciated a great session and her responsiveness in booking.

I started at Time To Be Fit [TTBF] in early October with my personal trainer, Shenan Sira. We've had about 16 private pilates sessions so far, with many years more worth in my mind.

It had been a few years since I worked out or done any exercise at all prior to meeting Shenan at TTBF. Before I moved to Sacramento, my previous personal trainer in Sonoma County and I had become involved and she broke my heart. So, dealing with the emotions of it translated into not wanting to exercise because it reminded me of her. We'll use that excuse for not getting off my butt.

Fast forward two years

I just tried to take a class here. I was literally 2 minutes late. The door was locked and no one answered when I knocked or called. It's not unheard of for someone to be a few minutes late for a Friday class at 5:30pm. Such bad business practice. I guess they don't really want my money.

There's no pressure to be perfect here, no pressure to get you to sign up for more sessions or classes. It's a very "work at your pace" pilates gym

I did about 7 months of private lessons with Robyn. She was amazing. She listened to my concerns and needs and knows how to motivate without coming off as pushy. Privates are great if you have a wacky work schedule, specific needs(back problem for me), and you go at your own pace. Sad I had to move to so cal.

Time to be fit is perfect for people who don't feel comfortable in a typical gym environment. They don't offer a huge selection of classes but you get in exchange a comfortable, quiet environment and trainers who care about your well-being. I have been seeing Shenan for over a year and cannot say enough good things about her. Because it is such a small studio, she is able to be super flexible and work around my hectic school schedule. I have seen huge changes in the way my body looks and feels over the past year due to workouts that are catered specifically towards me. What I love most

Another reviewer referenced TTBF as a boutique gym ~ what a great description! Boutique in that it is special and not the usual 'get your workout on/in and get out' environment. TTBF staff focuses on making exercise a way of life by offering top-notch equipment, group classes, personal training (I've been working w/ Shenan...great trainer!) all with a focus on teaching best form and endurance options. The environment at TTBF is extremenly professional, accomodating and supportive with solid options for clients/athletes with a wide variety of goals. Highly recommend...

Super Fantastic Boutique Fitness Studio in Sacramento! All of the classes are excellent! Robyn, owner and trainer, holds extensive fitness knowledge as well as the ability to focus activities for all fitness goals and abilities. Only fitness studio that I would recommend in Sacramento.

Time to Be Fit is an amazing studio. I've been taking classes with Robyn since she was at Healthy Habits and then at the temporary studios she had while outfitting the TTBF studio. She is very good at teaching her classes, and very intuitive on offering helpful tips on getting a better workout and doing the poses and exercises the correct way. I had someone tell me once that pilates wasn't a cardiovascular workout, but he had never taken one of her classes! They are a great way to gain strength, stamina, and self-esteem, as being able to keep up with Robyn is no small feat! Even

Simply could not be happier in any way. I was in classes with the owner (Robyn) when she was at Healthy Habits in Midtown. She absolutely turned my life around and started me on the path to being healthier in all ways. I was 42 years old and 450 pounds a decade ago, and never felt judged by her. She wanted to help, and worked to help me.

I am 250 pounds less now, and decided I wanted to get back into a real fitness program again, after a few years of hit-and-miss on my own. I needed some structure, advice and support.

I tracked Robyn down and was so happy to find out she has her own exercise

Great place to get in shape. They offer a monthly fee that allows your choice of as many classes as you can attend. Robin is the best and will get your mind and body in great shape quickly.

I love ttbf! i've been searching for a good pilates studio since i moved to sacramento and have tried a few around town. i've finally found my pilates home at ttbf. the instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, the owners are hands-on in their business and get to know you by name, and prices are very reasonable. their pilates studio has 5 reformers and classes are limited in size so you get a little more personalized attention.

I really enjoy this boutique gym. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell they want their clients to get the best workout at a pace that's good for them.

I recently started working out here because I left another boutique gym downtown (HH). What a contrast in both professionalism, skill, attitude and cleanliness!

For the same price, I think Time to Be Fit is awesome and well worth the money. The $100 unlimited package is the best value! Plus, unlike other boutique gyms they have Sunday and Friday classes.

Time to be fit offers a mix of Personal Training and group class options. I can take a yoga class one day, a cycle class the next and choose from mat pilates, core circut, cardio circuit, and pilates reformer classes. TTBF is great if you are experienced in Pilates or have never done Pilates before. I have done pilates mat classes for the past 10 years, but the instructor makes all the difference in the world. Robyn the owner of TTBF taught my class and the difference between classes was like night and day. She gives little tips throughout the class on how to get the most out of every movement

Time To Be Fit is an excellent core training/Pilates/yoga studio that opened a few months ago. It's tucked away behind the Peets at 37 & J, you can smell the coffee sometimes as it wafts through the workout rooms.

There are some combined cycle/floor mat classes, Yoga, stretching, and my favorite - the core circuit workout. These classes are limited to eight participants and you get lots of personal attention. It usually starts out with cycling to get the heart rate up, then a combination of strength training and cardio in various stations among the two main rooms of the studio. For instance
