My husband is English so, naturally, he grew up eating India. He had a go to place to grab a bite when we lived in Wake County, but as we have progressed south, he had been dying for something better than my homemade attempts at Biryani (its OK, but not great). Southern Pines and surrounding area have no shortage of Indian places and this one will be a new go to....so, so good!! Try the Mango Chicken....I was tempted out of my usual Saag Paneer....I was NOT disappointed. MMMMM

Chai tea and the madras coffee were beyond amazing. The lamb biryani my husband got was very robust in the flavors. The goat tiki masala was perfection in a dish, the meat slid off the bone perfectly and the spices were perfect for medium spice. Hands down the best Indian food I have ever had!! I highly recommend this place!!

Very delicious food. I order food at least twice a month. My favourites are the lamb rhoganjosh and the goat curry. Very flavorful, basmattie rice is cooked perfectly. I also get their garlic naan bread and that is soft and delicious. I have tried their meat samosas and tandoori chicken and they are also really good.

Got here at 8:45pm expecting tired mediocre service and food but was proved wrong! The man who was our server was amazing and food was superb. A little pricey but I wanted to splurge some. I had the lamb masala and it was great and the milk balls, they were a little different than what I'm use to but the sauce was delicious. Will DEFINITELY be coming back.

I have nothing but good things to say about Taste of India. Everything was delicious, the staff receptive, and the alcohol cold. The beer list was easily understood, with imported names categorized by type. The food was out of this world, everything properly portioned, and consistent. I’ve been here several times and the food is always incredible. Like an exact science.

DELICIOUS Amazing flavor! There was no one here - the reviews brought me to an empty parking lot. Made my experience that much better! Authentic and spicy. I ordered medium bharta and was warm but perfect for me! Try the pickles, very unique!! baingan bharta and goat curry (12.99 and 18.99) military discount 👍
