Chef Warren's Bistro will continue offering take-away and curbside delivery in addition to limited seating in our indoor and outdoor dining rooms. We are in constant contact with healthcare professionals and government agencies and will assess our business decisions according to their advice. Chef Warren and his wife designed the restaurant after a turn of the century French bistro.
An open kitchen gives diners the opportunity to watch the chef at work while an accommodating and friendly staff treats all equally. The menu changes frequently depending on availability of seasonal products. There is a full bar, with an extensive wine list, mostly from smaller less known wineries.

Excellent meal in an eclectic bistro atmosphere. Truly outstanding entree of halibut over creamy mashed potatoes with goat cheese and spinach with butter blanc sauce. Also, a striped bass with 3 nut crust and same accompanying veggies was delicious. Escargot appetizer had very tasty, dunkable garlic butter with just so so tasting snails.
Service was terrific - efficient, attentive and friendly.
Great experience . Pricey but worth it.

Knowledgable staff, excellent wine selection, clean, quaint atmosphere, but most of all the food is delicious. We went to Chef Warren's for our anniversary. Reservations are a must. The seating is in one main room. The meals are prepared behind the bar. Wait staff was attentive. The highlight was the food. It pleased every sense. It did not disappoint.

I can’t comment on the food, as our reservation was canceled by the restaurant. Originally held a 8:30 reservation and I called and asked for a change to 8:45. Was told that it was “easy Peasy”. Those were the hostess’s exact words. We arrived late, due to a tremendous thunder storm that we waited out at our hotel, at 9:00 to find a closed and locked door and a dark restaurant. The hostess came out and lectured us about being late and told us the kitchen was already closed and cleaned up. She was nasty and downright mean.
Here are my issues: 1) at no point when I asked for a time change

Everything associated with this visit went perfectly. The lamb chops (we got the last two orders at 6:30 pm ) were the best I have ever eaten. The wine was delightful, and our waiter fixed up perfectly, a misunderstanding about whether we wanted a glass or a bottle. Such that we bought three more bottles of "13 Celsius" at Harris Teeter the next day.

We can't wait to visit Chef Warren's again! The staff was lovely and the restaurant was warm and welcoming. Every dish we had was expertly and deliciously prepared, from tapas to dessert. Don't forget to order some of the delicious signature cocktails or a bottle of wine. Chef Warren and his staff created an incredibly delightful dining experience!

The kangaroo was an interesting appetizer. But $69 for a ribeye is too much for the quantity and quality as for that price I was expecting something more mind-blowing. I also tried the crab cake with the large prawns that came with some very plain mashed potatoes.
The best part was the dessert. The pecan pie was very very good. The chocolate mousse was great, although probably a little messy to eat because of the crunchy waffle bowl it comes in.
Service was excellent and they let us take our leftover wine in the bottle, which was very nice.

Cool atmosphere. Drinks came out quickly. Rolls were good but had to ask for butter. Beet salad was really good. Seafood soup was not my favorite. Broth was ok but not enough lobster or shrimp mostly clams. Wish I tried the French onion soup instead. Took a bit between the appetizer and main course. Had bone in rib-eye searved without the bone which was disappointing. I like my vegetables softer, there were served very crisp. Amberjack was gook but the slaw it was served with was a bit spicy. Waffle desert was good but a bit pricey at $9. French press coffee was great. If you want a nice dinner

6 of us met Saturday night for what should have been a very special evening. Not one of us thought the food was special nor even good. Very small dining room. Service was good just nothing we ordered was very good. Very eclectic menu. I think they are trying too hard to be different with offerings. When Goose Liver (Foie Gras) and Brains (Sweet Breads) are on special in NC you are outside the box. We spent a LOT of money on a meal that was not even enjoyable. We will not return.

The food was just OK at best. When it came time to pay they come to your table with the machine to pay. The gratuity is already programed in at 15%, 18% and 20%. However, all gratuity is programed in with the TAX! We do not pay gratuity on tax. I asked if I could manually add my gratuity, which I did. Something went wrong with the machine and she asked me to do it again. I did. That was Saturday 12/19/2020.
On Tuesday the 22nd I noticed that I was charged 2X on my debit account. I phoned the restaurant and was reassured that the money would be back in my account very soon, perhaps even that day

One experience, so I'll update if I get a chance to return. I really wanted to love it as I've heard so many friends rant about it but it was a 3 star experience.
Covid times. They seemed to handle it well. Masks and clean. Two thumbs up there.
Service. My waitress seemed overwhelmed. We waited 10 minutes for simple cocktails. It's not that busy if a place due to size. My martini was about half filled. I thought maybe that's how they made it but when glancing at other people's drinks, I suspicions were confirmed. We decided to switch to wine after that. The server was

Awesome food, however the ambiance was mediocre and nothing out of the ordinary. The place doesn't really have a unique personality. Food and cocktals was amazing, we tried the kangaroo and was cooked right, my wife had the quail and was very flavorful, however the shrimp rice was too soggy and lastly i ate the triggerfish which was very good. Staff was excellent, service was fast, efficient and they were very accomodating. Overall experience was good and would probably won't be back soon.

We went to Chef Warren's Restaurant for our anniversary, the fact that they had kangaroo was what prompted us to go there. We started off with kangaroo and blowfish as our starters. Both were delicious. The kangaroo was a different flavor I wasn't familiar with, but the more I ate the more I like it. Love the red wine sauce and grits we're cooked perfect! The Blowfish kind of tasted like fish but not a fishy taste, really fresh! I had the duck, which I loved, cooked perfect except for some spots were a little undercooked. My husband had the scallops and they were the best I've ever had! They melted
