When I found Annese Martial Arts ten years ago, my original intention was to simply obtain some class information for my nine year old son. At the time, I had anger issues and felt lost motivationally. I was making my wife and family miserable. Having attended other schools in the area myself, I found that none of them were a good fit for me. Under the Annese's superb instruction, Imagine my delight to find myself a decade later having earned my black belt in my mid forties while two of my sons attend the school with me. We started with Frank and Michelle in 2005, right after we moved to Virginia. Our son had been taking classes in NY and we wanted for him to have the consistency. Little did we know that he would be diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum, having adhd, and anxiety. Frank has taken the time to encourage my son and help him improve his focus so that he has completed the children's classes and is now a purple belt in the adult class. Not only that, but he has also been teaching my daughter for several years as well, and she has progressed through the children's classes and is currently a green belt
