Services
Dr. Woelfle completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and continued at UCLA, where he received his DDS degree in 1988, and an advanced degree in hospital dentistry in 1989. Subsequently, he was chosen to train with an exclusive maxillofacial prosthodontic dental team in Santa Monica. In 1990, he relocated to San Francisco and practiced dentistry for fourteen years with a high-end large dental group at the Embarcadero Center.
Our energetic and environmentally friendly staff is dedicated to your comfort, understanding, satisfaction and the latest treatment protocols so you know that you are receiving the very best that dentistry has to offer. We love what we do, and it shows on our faces - it seems we're always smiling around here!
Your treatment plan will include a breakdown of all applicable fees, and we will inform you of all costs before treatment is administered. For your convenience, we accept cash and checks as well as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and electronic bank transfer. We also offer in-house financing.
Throughout your life, you will have two sets of teeth: primary (baby) teeth and secondary (permanent) teeth. At age 6-8 months, the primary teeth appear; all 20 are in place by age 3. Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and except for wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14.
What does the phrase "oral health" mean to you? No new cavities at your dental checkup? That's certainly part of it. But it's really so much more than a lack of tooth decay.

Good oral health means a mouth that's free of disease - which can range all the way from mild gingivitis (gum inflammation) to oral cancer; a bite that functions well enough for you to eat without pain and get ample nutrition; and a smile that lets you express your happiest emotions with confidence.Simply put, oral health is a crucial component of your overall health and well-being.

SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL! I went to Advanced Dentistry on a recommendation from a friend last year. I made an appointment and saw Dr. Javier Lopez (whom my friend recommended) and it was great. I made another appointment to see him in 6 months and then COVID hit. I'm ASSUMING my appointment got canceled but they never told me. In Jun, they mentioned that they were taking clients again, so I emailed back asking to have a cleaning. No reply. So I called and got an appointment with Dr. Lopez for Aug 8. On Aug 5, I called them to confirm if it's still happening bc COVID and things were opening

If you're looking for the best dentist office look no further than Advanced Dentistry . Dr. Mark Simkins and his staff, are kind, professional, caring and careful. Everyone in the office was so nice, really friendly, professional- and yet comfortable to be around. My mom had a very good experience and she shared her experience with her friends and said that Advanced Dentistry is a best dentist practice she have been to in her global life. Friendly, kind, and understanding of the people who are apprehensive of dentists.Thank you Dr. Simkins and your team.

YOU LOOSE PATIENTS WITH DISHONESTY

I've been a Patient for 10 years. I do not have any complaints or any issues with my dentist, the hygienist they've all been great. I also don't have any issues with the Reception staff, well Except One. This is the Bases of this review.

I had a in office dental bleaching last month. I was told at the time that if I needed any refill bleach in the future that it'll cost me $20.00 ok that sounds reasonable.

I went in a couple weeks later for a follow up and was told that the refills are in fact free for 6 months, unexpected surprise. Well

I moved to the Bay Area from Sacramento 2 years ago, and I was pretty nervous seeing a new dentist, because I've had the same dentist in Sacramento for between 20-30 years. I am so pleased with Dr. Eslao and the whole team at Advanced Dentistry. I think my old dentist is awesome, but this place is a lot more high-tech. The camera inside of my mouth was new to me - it's great to be able to actually see for myself the parts of my teeth that I need to brush and floss better. I thought the "extra" procedures (beyond routine cleaning) were fairly reasonable. I know I'm not anywhere

I actually enjoy going to the dentist!! Everyone at Advanced Dentistry is knowledgeable and genuinely interested in not only the best care for my teeth but also for my total wellbeing given my mouth is a window into my health. They are also extremely friendly, positive and reassuring, taking the time to explain what is happening in my mouth and what they are about to do as a treatment. The location is clean and modern, and everyone from the reception staff to the hygienists, doctors and Dr. Alderson herself (who checks in on everyone!) are friendly and helpful. This place is a rare find!

Dr. Tiller is an AMAZING dentist. I was recommended to Advanced Dentistry by half of my office, so I decided to bite the bullet. I had the pleasure of sitting in Dr. Tiller's chair yesterday, and he had the pleasure of checking out my pearly whites. When he walked in the "room" (it's an open office space-ish), he started playing music and I instantly knew I was in for a treat. He took me through everything I needed to know about my oral health (which is pretty stellar, might I add. No new cavities here!) and taught me things about my teeth that I didn't know. He's

Dr Anderson is a fantastic dentist. Her office has the latest equipment and her staff is all very knowledgable. She's great with patients who are scared of the dentist, and will make you feel at ease.

She's very up-front about what work needs to be done now, what is optional, and what you can tackle with products from the drugstore.

Advanced Dentistry is hands-down the best dental experience I've ever had. The staff is AMAZING--incredibly friendly, helpful and competent. When I needed my first ever filling, Dr. Castillo was incredibly caring and communicative throughout the process. David, the office manager, is always so personable and professional, whether it's helping me understand my insurance or asking me about how teaching is going. I cannot recommend AD enough!

I left my last dentist because he was never on time and always kept me waiting 45 minutes to an hour. I went looking for a dentist that was kind, considerate, competent and on time. I was introduced to Dr. Tiller through another current patient and also a friend . My experience has been excellent. The staff and Doctor are courteous, professional, and treat you with respect. All are extremely friendly and very accommodating. Dr. Tiller is an excellent and knowledgeable dentist. He has been able in a short time to create a level of trust that he has your dental health as his number one priority.

I have referred everyone in my office to Advanced Dentistry. Dr. Castillo is hands down, the best dentist I've ever been to; he's very patient and has a great way of explaining what he's doing to you as you're sitting in the chair. He's also very fair in terms of costs. The staff at Advanced Dentistry is also amazing! Everyone is very nice and accommodating-they do a great job of setting your expectation-cost and time in the chair. Love Advanced Dentistry!

Excellent service and care for me since 2005.
Helen and her team have tremendous amounts of knowledge and are willing to educate people about cutting edge work in their field, while still being your dentist. Yes, that requires attending seminars and conferences to keep themselves updated. What's great is that they have the technology and facilities to accommodate many of the newest methods to help patients have a more pleasant and more informative appointment.
Painless.
Both the average cleaning and other trickier operations have always been painless for me. Ok, I obviously feel something when

I've been avoiding the dentist like I avoid the Marina on Taco Tuesdays. Which is to say that I haven't stepped foot in a dentist's office in over five years. My last dental exam was by coercion, when my cousin (a fine dentist/oral surgeon) bamboozled me into going to her office under the premise of going for a drive around her small town. She did a great job by the way, but I have since shrugged off going to see the dentist regularly.

Imagine my dismay when I woke up with a horrible pain in the left side of my mouth yesterday morning. I waited, hoping it would subside, but this

I actually look forward to going to the dentist. Everyone is nice and professional and they make the whole experience as painless as possible. You can watch a DVD or listen to music while getting work done. They can also bring up X-rays on the screen and you are able to compare if there has been any changes since your last X-ray set.
You also get a flavor list when they clean your teeth and a goodie bag of toothpaste, floss and a toothbrush before you leave.

I started with Dr. Woelfe who is awesome, but as he has downsized his patient list I got transferred to Dr. Castillo who is also equally

I absolutely adore Dr. Helen Alderson and the entire staff. I've been a regular patient for years because she understands my irrational dentist phobia and manages to put me at ease...well, as at ease as I can be at a dentist office. She is very gentle, caring and attentive. She even replies to emails if you need to get information straight to her outside of an appointment.

The best dental experience you'll ever have. You will be listened to, informed, and have your dental desires respected. I had read in a review before going that you won't experience trying to be sold pointless work you don't need and that Dr. Alderson was very compassionate, and both are true! Digital x-rays and mercury-free fillings/safe removal are important and found there as well!

A friend referred me to Dr. Tiller. I generally hate seeing the dentist but can't find anything bad to say this time around. Dr. Tiller was friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. He's the only dentist to offer up that my mouth is on the dry side and give me tips on how to not wake up with cotton mouth in the middle of the night. Niiiiice!

Apparently he's also got a magic chair because I'm still not sure if I fell asleep while he was cleaning the teeth. When I stood up all the telltale signs that I was sleeping were there, but I'm still just not sure it's possible

I've been going to Dr. Woefle for about 8 years and think he's great. Bernadette and Iselle are also wonderful hygienists. As much as I truly hate going to the dentist, and I've had a lot of major dental work done over the years thanks to a bicycle accident, I know that they will take good care of me from a health and aesthetic standpoint.

The only issue I've had here is that in all of my years going to them for routine care, I've never once had a gum check-up. When I requested a visit with the "gum guy" Dr. Lu, he found all kinds of evil things lurking, which

The Dr., and his hygenists do a very good job. My mother is a dentist and I know what they are supposed to do to do. Having grown up with an office attached to my home, I get none of the possibly dreadful flashbacks of kids screaming and such.
The waiting area and chairs are comfortable, clean and techologically advanced. You can watch a movie in either part, and you get your choice of XM radio in the chair.
For the record, I've only had my teeth cleaned and x-rayed, but they've done a fine job. A good cleaning has to hurt a little bit, my mom always said, and they definitely

Dr. Woelfle is incredible. So gentle, so understanding of patients. I have never experienced any pain with him, and I love that he takes the time to explain everything in advance.

He respects your time, doesn't keep you waiting.

And his staff -- delightful. They are also talented and so sweet.

I actually look forward to visits, and to catching up with everyone here.

After a horrible experience with Dr. Pain (ie., Dr. Findlay), I found Dr. Woelfle and am so pleased. Dr. Pain had told me he HAD to replace all my previous fillings (12!) and when Dr. Woelfle heard, he said "

I had bad luck with the first dentist I had when I moved here (They chipped my tooth!), so I went to my s.o.'s dentist to give it a try. I am so far happy with the results.

Everything here is modern. The design of the office is bright and cheery. They have all the latest equipment. You can listen to satellite radio while they work, though usually I chat with the hygienists. They're so friendly. Dr. Woelfle is a bit more serious, but still nice.

The goodie bags are pretty nice here as well. I am still not used to them because I never had a dentist who did that since i was a kid
