Sky Properties Apartments are conveniently located just outside of Washington, DC in the pedestrian-friendly neighborhood of Silver Spring / Takoma Park in Montgomery County, MD. We are pet-friendly and we offer both year-long and short-term leases. Most apartment buildings are within walking distance to the Silver Spring Metro Station.

Our residents can walk to Downtown Silver Spring, which boasts fabulous restaurants, shops, a farmer's market, movie theatres, and an arts district that includes the popular Round House Theatre, Takoma Park Metro stations and bus lines, grocery stores and cafes in a nearby shopping center, Sligo Creek Park, which some of our apartments overlook, the local elementary school, a public library, and a community center.

This is the worst property management company in all the DMV and beyond. I only post this to encourage other people to not make the same mistake I did by choosing to live at an apartment Sky Properties owns. I did not have heat for almost two months in the middle of winter, had to get the city involved. No one cared that my apartment was 55 degrees in January, never any empathy or urgency whatsoever. When the city came over for inspection, they found multiple other dangerous infractions that were putting everyone in the building at risk, and my nextdoor neighbor in the building *by law* was required

Absolutely terrible. The neighborhood seems nice because it is close to the sligo creek park, but the buildings are so poorly made that you there is no sound insulation.

The worst building I have seen. It is not just that the building is old but the most important problem is that the walls are thinner than paper. You can literally hear everything that your next door or lower or upper level neighbors do or say. I think it is probably even echoed. Also the maintenance is so poor. God forbid there is a problem. It would take weeks before they can fix it. The cheap price is definitely not worth all the burdens that come with these buildings. Just escape.

There is no free lunch. These houses have a cheap rental but being cheap means that the quality is below cheap too. No soundproofing, poor maintenance, etc. Just stay away from these buildings.

I just took possession of the apartment yesterday. The apartment was never cleaned nor was it ever made ready for anyone to move into. After picking up the keys I went to the apartment to drop some things off and it was extremely hot so I tried to adjust the thermostat as it was set to 80. Normally you can hear the system kick on after making adjustments but it never did. I called the office but an answering service for sky properties/ promark partners answered and tried reaching maintenance. A few minutes later Terry the manager called me and told me it worked and that the apartment was cool but

Worst possible maintenance response rate ever. We’ve been without air conditioning for over a week. It’s the middle of summer, this is unacceptable. Contacted all numbers that have ever reached out and they keep conveniently pushing back when someone can actually come service. Forced to break lease as these are uninhabitable conditions so of course they state that our security deposit won’t be returned and they won’t be able to service the air conditioning until the day we move, if they decide to at all.
Besides not having any AC in the summer, we’ve had issues with this unit since before

This place is so awful. First of all the management is so awful and the manager's attitudes ( Terry) is so unprofessional. Secondly, the building is old and dirty. I tried many seasonal pest, but I couldn't exterminate the bugs such as beetles. Third, once I was locked out and they asked me to pay $75 to them to open the door for me. Forth, the laundry room is so dirty and the machines do not work well and the quarters have been eaten by machines. Fifth, I have paid my April's rent, but today(4/27/2019), I received a letter from District court of Maryland claiming that I have not paid some portion

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! If i could give negative stars I would. 1st picture is one of the many I have of nice droppings, 2nd picture the floor guard in the kitchen , 3rd picture under the kitchen sink, 4th and 5th picture the ceiling in the bathroom leaking from upstairs, 6th picture the leaking water going down the wall, 7th the bucket i had to leave on move out day because they hadn’t fixed the ceiling, 8th picture the panel they removed to “fix” the water damage that let mice into my home that they refused to put back.
I know it seems like it’s worth the price. IT isn’t do not move here

THEY HAVE A HORRIBLE MANAGER WITH A HORRIBLE ATTITUDE. HERE NAME IS "TERRI"
1- One star is too much for this place; this place is unclean, dirty, and old. Since I've rented an apartment here (8 months so far), so many insects, cockroaches, and warms have entered my place even after I got it exterminated for seasonal pests!
2- My mailbox lock has broken by itself, so I called Terri "the manager" to send someone to fix it, so she said "We can't; get it fix on your own" although I did not break it!
3- My bathroom sink "still" has a problem, were the water doesn
