People First Federal Credit Union is a federally chartered and insured credit union that has been serving the Lehigh Valley in Eastern Pennsylvania for over 65 years. If you live, work, worship or attend school in Carbon, Lehigh, or Northampton Counties in Pennsylvania or Warren County in New Jersey you can benefit from membership in People First.

A savings account with People First gives you the flexibility to save for a home, a vacation, education or retirement. When you join People First, your first account will be a primary savings account, which requires a minimum balance of just $5.00. This account establishes your membership and allows you access to all of our products and services.
Money Market Accounts are designed for our members with consistent savings account balances who want to earn more interest than they do with our primary savings account. You can withdraw cash as often as you like either in person, online, or by check. Earn interest on balances of $2,500 or more! Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly.
If you're looking for secure, long-term savings with competitive earnings, a Share or Individual Retirement Account (IRA) Certificate from People First FCU is for you. I'm told by a separate provider mortgage lender your pre approved for 120k FHA home loan at 900+$ a month.
But that I have a thin report and recommends getting a credit card. See online credit unions and your own bank are the best chance of approval.
The bank associate was nice and personable. It felt like a smooth process. I have a clear history, no debt or collections other than 1 medical bill. And a credit rating of B.
I have a good income and thought for sure that after holding a secured card for almost 2 years at 0$ balance I would be approved. I wasn't approved and told because I don't

The absolute worst bank I have ever been apart of, seen or heard of from other customers. They do not get back to you until about a week later. Will not cooperate when your card is stolen or used unlawfully. When depositing any cash they have constantly messed up the amount almost by half. Nobody is available when you call and their answering service is very unhelpful. Whoever owns this bank should strongly consider selling it and picking a new career choice.

How am I supposed to set something up or ask a question if no one answers the phone because the robot Mike can't answer a dang thing, it's super frustrating when you're "on the line" for 2.5 hours and still no call no emails being responded to what am I supposed to do just ask questions through the drive through this is ridiculous!

I stopped by the bank with the intention of opening at least two accounts I was told I had to open the accounts online and schedule an appointment which I did. Then I had to call to reschedule my appointment since I was sick. Someone took a message but they never returned my call. Poor customer service skills.

Once you give them your money, it's tough to get it out to make a larger purchase. I followed their process by emailing a letter to the email instructed to do so, I still couldn't access and had to call several more times. Both times waiting on the phone 15min plus to even get someone live on the phone. They kept saying they hadn't received the email. Sent from 2 different account, nope no email. After 30 minutes of this nonsense, they said they can record the call. Really 30 minutes to get to this point? Completely unacceptable. Thankfully, they are not the only credit union in the valley.

I had trouble with the new people's first mobile deposit app. I called today as soon as I realized the deposit was never credited causing an overdraft. I called to explain the situation and a rep by the name of Fatima, straight up called me a liar saying I never attempted anything. Absolutely disrespect and a terrible customer service experience. If you think that, fine but you don't ever falsely accuse a customer of lying to you, especially one with no history like myself! I will probably be leaving over this ordeal unless I am apologized to. By the way, bless your heart Fatima for refunding my

I have been dealing with People First CU since the 1990's and i have never had an issue that wasn't resolved immediately. Fraudulent charges were immediately removed and funds were immediately replaced. I couldn't ask for a better place to handle my finances. The tellers are friendly and know you by face and name and that is important to me. Their service is impeccable and as long as it continues to be i will a member.

Been a member since 2008. Appears the customer service has degrade over time. Rarely call in to discuss account issues but when I do they do not seem to have patiences and want to get you quickly off the phone. I forgot her name but she is of India origin. She insinuate that you are not very bright and don't know how to read your details of your transactions. Also the mobile solution is terrible since it requires you to add an additional endorsement on your check or the deposit will not go through! The extra endorsement is not your signature. It is six letters indicating it is a mobile deposit
