Credit unions offer better rates on loans and savings than most commercial banks, due to a credit unions' unique operation.
Services
If you already have a PSE savings account (you are a member) then you can apply for a checking account by using the online links. PSE offers three types of Personal Checking Accounts-Deluxe Checking, Basic Checking and Renew Checking. Health Discounts (Prescription Drug Plan)* - this is a health discount plan and is not insurance.
PSE offers 3 types of Business Checking Accounts-Organizational Business checking, Small Business Checking and Commercial Checking. You need to open a Business Savings Account in order to open a Business Checking Account. This institution is not federally insured, and if the institution fails, the Federal Government does not guarantee that depositors will get back their money.
When you join the credit union and make your first, initial $5 deposit, you have opened a daily interest savings account (referred to as a share account). The dividend rate is set at the close of each quarter by the credit union Board of Directors and is paid quarterly on the last day of December, March, June and September.
Our VISA Classic card offers a fixed interest rate of 13.5% APR*, NO annual fee and the Scorecard enhancement package. Purchase gift cards in $5.00 increments from $10.00 - $500.00. You decide the amount to give. You can purchase gift cards for only $2.50 each and Platinum Club members pay $1.00 per card.
We will have individually wrapped goodies for all to enjoy! These events are FREE and open to the public. We collected donations for Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital-which is our main philanthropic endeavor at the credit union. Pennie had a lot of fun with the kids! Michele took excellent care of me. Very professional and friendly. It was my first time in the branch since my previous bank's merger and she made it painless. Everything was seamless. She was patient with all my questions and did an excellent job in any explanation or info that needed conveyed.

Overall I have been more than pleased in my 30+ years with PSE. In particular, the debit card and wire transfer employees (N & C) have gone above and beyond in helping me.
There have been a few incidents where I did not get the usual exemplary service, but I know my go-to people. Thanks PSE.

Member for more than 30 years. Loan Department employees are rude make you feel like you're bothering them and you're less than smart. Wouldn't call if your Website was more user friendly. Try to do things online but first time told I had to come in to reset password got there told that was incorrect could of did from home. Tried to set up automatic withdrawal for Auto loan got notice of 2 52 cent late fees. Loan Department said I did it wrong she corrected it. Why is your Website so hard to navigate don't have this problem any where else. Teach your employees some manners when talking to customers

Their business hours are lies. I showed up at 454 and the drive through was closed.
I raced over the the main doors and they were closed. I was standing at the door waving to the staff inside who saw me and looked away. Your BUSINESS HOURS are open until 5pm. Dishonest and poor business practice to close early. I even called and MADE SURE you would be open until 5 because I had to come so far to make a withdrawl and could not because the ATM took my card! BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE AND YOUR TWO SEVICE PEOPLE I SPOKE TO WERE RUDE TO BOOT. And let us not forgot that I even CALLED 7 times BEFORE 5P while

Horrible loan department. The women that work in that department are so rude. I called because I needed to pay off a loan I had and asked for the exact amount owed (since the wrong amount was appearing on the banking app). Was told the amount and that I had 10 days to pay before a late fee was applied. I paid it 3 days after making that call and my receipt showed that $20 late fee that I shouldn't have had. Contacted the loan department and she claimed to have said that I needed to pay it the SAME DAY I spoke with her or I'd have that late fee. That was NEVER said. If that was the case, what was

Beware, The customer service and answers I received from this bank, in my opinion, was 100% unacceptable.
I live in Michigan, have a credit union in Michigan, I used to live in Maryland, I still have a credit union in Maryland, my family member lives in Michigan and has yet a totally different credit union. I needed to make a transaction happen ASAP on a Saturday afternoon. This was the only co-op credit union open at the time. I started off at their Strongsville Office.
The lady at the Strongsville office could not find one of my accounts, where I was planning on taking money out, from Maryland

Honestly, if the credit union down the street from my house took business accounts, I would switch credit unions IMMEDIATELY. The tellers are rude and incompetent, and I'm constantly calling or stopping in to have them correct mistakes they make on my account. I've had issues with them since day one, but I feel stuck because I don't want a large bank taking my money either. Not that it makes much of a difference here. Watch your account activity like a hawk here! And be prepared to wait upwards of 2 months for your checkbooks and cards to arrive.

While I am not a member of this Credit Union I am thinking of switching to them. I was shopping around for a car loan and just walked in to the Strongsville Branch to see what they could do for me. They were super nice and helped me through what could be done, and even gave me my other options even though it didn't benefit them. I ended up going somewhere else, but I just wanted to review them and let them know that I appreciated all their help. And perhaps soon I will become a member.

I've been a customer of PSE Credit Union for years. I used to think so highly of them and always enjoyed doing business with them. Loan department was so nice when I was borrowing money from them, but today.....I want to PAY OFF my loan...PAY OFF. What a freaking hassle. Not to mention how condensending and patronizing the Vice President of the bank was to me. How dare you?
I moved to another state and paying off a loan and having new address updated on their system is a fiasco.
I am deeply hurt how I was talked to and treated. Very upset. Shame on you Vice President of PSE shame on you!

PSE is terrible, DO NOT GO THERE. I have been with them going on 5 years now and its no perks to it at all. They have so many hidden fees its ridiculous use your card more that 5 times in a month its a $2 each time, if you send something and its insufficient funds they don't pay it and they still charge you $32 the list goes on. I'm a African American woman 24 years old and every time they see me its rude and nasty very sarcastic. I really hate this place and I should have been switched I kept putting it off. I just started using PSE for all my banking this past summer. After noticing ALOT of fees I asked the credit union why I got charged fees for using my card at Walmart and Amazon. Supposed to not have to pay a fee if I select credit as payment method. I got this back "It is the way Walmart and amazon post there transactions no matter if you do it as a credit it is still ran as a debit and charges you." Between having to wait more than 6 weeks for my card which the bank sent to the wrong place, being told I had too wait 6 months to get checks,,Yep definitely switching banks now.

In a market where its hard to tell the difference between a credit union and a bank, PSE Credit Union continues to move forward holding on to the principle of "people helping people".
