At Dermatology Consultants of Sacramento, we're proud to provide a number of general dermatology services geared to address all of your dermatology needs. Our professionals are extremely skilled at diagnosing skin, hair, and nail conditions, and we're happy to work with our patients to devise treatment plans that take into account particular needs.
Dr. Bass and his family came to Sacramento in 1973, when he joined the practice after completing his Dermatology residency and chief residency at the University of Michigan Medical School where he also completed his medical school training. Dr. Bass and his expertise have been recognized by colleagues with awards including a "Best Doctors in Sacramento" award.
Dr. Parsons returned to her hometown of Sacramento in 1996 after completing medical school and dermatology residency training, including serving as chief resident at Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans. Her undergraduate education was at the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Parsons has been recognized as a "Best Doctor in Sacramento."
Dermatology Consultants of Sacramento is pleased to offer video visits with all of our providers!. Just like our in-office visits, we will listen to your skin concerns, examine your skin, provide appropriate prescriptions, and give medical advice. Your insurance company will cover your visit just as they would an in-office appointment.

As my family starts to grapple with changing ability I have become increasingly aware of how few facilities have automatic ADA doors. Unfortunately this facility does not. These are not difficult or expensive accomodations. I am disappointed. The exam room we were lead to was very spacious however and much easier to navigate with a wheelchair than other medical facilities we have visited lately.

I'm not sure how they acquired their name because this doctor's office needs serious consulting! I have worked for and seen hundreds (if not thousands) of doctor's offices across this nation in my time and this is BY FAR the MOST dysfunctional one I have been to.
From day one it has been near impossible to get a person on the phone when calling in unless you’re one of the very lucky few. In the 4 years that I have been going to this office I have gotten through to a person about 10% of the time when calling. This was my only issue until Dr. H retired. Dr. Mary Horner is a warm, compassionate and exceptionally able dermatologist. And the office staff, especially at check-in, cannot be beat. I've been a patient there for several years, starting with Dr. Layne Hersh, and was concerned when she told me of her retirement, But Mary Horner has surpassed by expectations as her successor.

Horrible office staff. I showed on-time for a 2:10 appt with Parson's on 7/10/15. While checking in I inquired if the Dr was running on-time. Leslie very rudely said no and wouldn't give me an estimate, it's very obvious she isn't concerned about the patients. When I further queried her as to a ball park time frame she loudly states "I can't see thru walls". Long story short, the office manager is also ineffective, he admits they overbook and are rarely on time.
