Tulip Valley Winery
Tulip Valley Winery is family owned and operated. We are located in the heart of Skagit Valley where we produce Tulip Valley hand crafted red and white table wines from estate grown grapes in, " Abberin Vineyard, " near Sunnyside, WA, and home to the traditional artesian Burro Loco Ciders made from locally grown apples.

We officially opened our tasting room in 2002 in the 1920's gothic roofed dairy barn off state route 536. Surrounded by three acres of estate grown Pinot Noir grapes, apple orchards with english and french cider apples (over nine varieties). With the view of Mount Baker behind you, we offer an escape from your normal day to day routine.
Services
Come join Range and Gather for an evening of live music from 13 Rabbit, al fresco Italian food, local cider and wine, and a silent auction. Kids under 12 are free, and your ticket purchase buys one drink, delicious appetizers, and puts you in a raffle for a beautiful basket from the winery. All proceeds go to support Range and Gather's mission to provide equine- and small-animal assisted therapy for Veterans and survivors of trauma.
Around harvest time, the Fall, apples and pears are harvested from estate orchards and brought to the barn. Apples are then washed, crushed, and pressed into juice. The juice is then fermented anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month. At the end of fermentation ciders are racked into their blends and bottled into the variety of ciders we decide to make; English and American style hard ciders.

Loved this winery! The wine was delicious & the setting was so pretty! We sat out on the deck & just enjoyed the countryside. The gal doing the serving was so nice & personable! If we weren't traveling we would have definitely purchased a bottle.

We went here years ago, and were pretty underwhelmed, but we are looking for venues for our wine-tasting club, so we gave it another try. Nice farmstead vibe with the red barn and surrounded by orchards. The person behind the counter was super-friendly, but I knew we were in trouble when I asked what AVA the grapes were from, and she gave us a very confused look. She knows they come from Washington.

I tried three reds, and, sadly, didn't even finish my tastes. My wife had the Chardonnay, a Rose' and a Rose' Cider. The Rose' was actually not bad. Everyone has different taste

Tulip Valley Winery was so cute. The folks working were very friendly and sweet. They brought an umbrella out for our table so we could socially distance while enjoying the beautiful mountain views during the sun shower.

Tulip Valley Winery was the perfect finish to my tulip wandering. Good wine (I bought 3 bottles of the tempranillo it was so good), beautiful scenery and the server, Cassie, was so friendly to this newcomer to Washington. The winemaker (Ector?) helped me with a wine question and provided some nice outdoor recommendations for when my family visits. What a nice place and people - and the wine of course. I live a few hours away but hope to go back.

Enchanting little winery just off a rual, country road in beautiful Mt. Vernon. Situated in a real, old-fashioned, red barn with rustic decor inside and out. Lovely garden and well-kept vinard that is simply a delight to see. Great place to take photos and shop for souvenirs! $5 gets you three wine tastings of your choice--which is free if you end up buying a bottle. Cleanest and prettiest bathrooms in the area! The owners and staff are very friendly and hospitable. Lots of beautiful local art on display and for purchase. When we took an interest in one of the artists whose work was on display

Thoroughly impressed with the taste and affordability of the wine here! We came away with 4 bottles - 2015 medium Riesling, 2014 & 2015 Tempranillo, and the red blend. The reds were ~$16-20 a bottle but tasted like some $40 bottles I've had and other wineries. Very happy we came.

I stopped by to pick up a couple bottles to go during the lockdown and they are very delicious. The atmosphere of the taste room is also very nice and beautiful. Definitely plan on returning once the lockdown is lifted!

Lucky for us we stopped a while at this lovely spot. Weather in the low 70's, not a cloud in the sky, outside tables for safe social distancing. $5 for four tastes, waived with bottle purchase. You can mix and match ciders and wines (reds and whites) if you like. 500 ml bottles of cider from $8 and wines from $18, something for everyone. Friendly and knowledgeable, family run business.

This was a wonderful experience on a blustery Saturday afternoon. We had already had a nice experience at a nearby brewery so we had to give equal time to a local winery. Glad we did because the wines were very good.

Generous pours that were $5 for 4. Pinot Grigio. Riesling Syrah. 2014 Tempranillo. All extremely enjoyable.

Shanna was wonderful to chat with and the tasting room had a nice vibe.

What brings the ratings down are reviews that are 11 years old and they are outdated. Things change along with service and quality.

I swung into Tulip Valley Winery on my last trip to Mount Vernon. This winery also makes cider and that was what I was really looking for. When I went here they just had one of their ciders for sale which was a Harvest Blend kind of cider. I had a sample there and liked it well enough that I got a bottle of it to have at home.
The setup here is cute. It has a rustic setting and is out in the country (relatively speaking) and the winery is located in an old and restored barn which gave the experience to me a pleasant quaintness.
The service here was good, prompt and very informative about their

The owners were working the tasting room today when my wife and I went in. They were friendly, attentive, and fun to chat with. You can tell they care about their craft. The wine was right up there with what you'll find in Woodinville and we took a bottle home.

Stopped by this winery on a vacation in early May. The place was closed, but the owner came out and was kind enough to let us in and give a tasting. The wines and ciders were really tasty, and we had some great conversations! The scenery is lovely, and there's an old car on-site that makes for great pictures.

We stumbled here are accident and so glad we did. Some of the most unquie and sweet wines. Usually I am not a sweet wine drinker, but the rose here is so different and so good for any thing else. Also the GEWURZTRAMINER and MEDIUM RIESLING are just lovely as well. Great little stop!

We were passing through on our way to Anacortes to take the ferry to Friday Harbor. We found this winery on Google.

I am so happy we stopped. The place inside and outside was beautiful. The owner was absolutely amazing on helping us with the wine tastings, and telling us about the area. All of the wine we tasted was amazing.

Recommend checking this place out.

I really liked Tulip Valley Vineyard. Considering that most of the other wineries I stopped at were $10-12 for five samples, their $5 for five generous samples seemed pretty great. The Red Barn Red was absolutely terrific (so I bought a couple of bottles). They had two ciders the day we were there and I adored both of them. I did not dislike any of their offerings, and I especially loved that we bought two bottles so we got our samples for free. I also loved that their prices were very reasonable for the wine quality.

This is a great little country vineyard and orchard, so I highly recommend

Lovely ambiance in the small tasting room. They had two artist showing in adjoining rooms which was nice. The server seemed under-knowledgable on what she was serving but was friendly enough. Wines ranged from fair to good enough that we bought a bottle. And their cider was excellent.

Tulip Valley Vineyard is a great place to stop on a lovely spring day on your way to (or from) the tulip festival (or when just taking a road trip to Skagit County). For $5 you get a generous tasting of five wines of your choice - and they have several to choose from. My favorite is their riesling and their viogner. They also had reds to choose from if you're a fan. The service is friendly and helpful, and their prices (most bottles $15 or less) are quite reasonable. The setting in an old converted barn also adds to the charm of this place. You could easily bring a picnic to enjoy the

The tasting room in a barn is kinda cutesy but it provides an immediate and significant reminder that you are in farm country, not wine country. S ome of the ciders were intriguing but the wines were meh.

What ruined the experience for me was the nickel-and-dime tasting policy. I had no intention of paying to taste. But, as we talked about the wines with our server, she offered to pour us something she thought we'd like. How nice--I thought. As we were checking out, she told the cashier to charge us $1 for it.

Why would you charge us for something we didn't order? Especially
