Services
On a scenic hillside in southern Skagit County you'll find the elegant, yet unpretentious Bertelsen Winery. You'll immediately notice the welcoming and friendly environment that defines the winery as you approach the property and enter our tasting room. Our winery is truly a labor of love and built on a desire to create a place where everyone feels at home.
We source all of our wine grapes from all over Eastern Washington. Washington wines have been on the rise for the past 20 years; the state has some of the best French blends and cool climate grapes in the world. Upon arriving at Bertelsen Winery you will notice our abundant vineyard filled with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Madeleine Angevine grapes.
We cordially invite you to join our family of wine club members, and share in the opportunity to experience our menu of wines at special prices along with our superior level of hospitality. We offer two levels of membership with two allocation options at each level. Simply select the option best suited for you and start enjoying the benefits of exclusive club membership.
Bertelsen Winery is host to many different events throughout the year in the Tasting Room and our new event center, "The Vine". Our new venue is a great indoor space for gatherings up to 175 people, and is filled with dazzling crystal chandeliers which gives the room a romantic touch. The venue also has seven glass garage doors which you can keep closed on cool evenings or open during warm, sunny days.
Please note that during ticketed events, Bertelsen Winery will be closed at 2pm to the general public, and will be reserved for patrons at the event. We apologize for the inconvenience. Robert Pidde has been named Comedy Underground Seattle's "Comedian of the Year, " and has multiple clips playing on Sirius XM.

My daughter and I went to a concert there on Saturday, 9/18/2021, saw Paul Overstreet. Have listened to him for 32 years. Raised my children to love his music. Met he and his wife and was blessed to reminisce to his music while having a laugh or two. The venue was fantastic and the night brought us many warm feelings. If you’re in Mt Vernon, WA, I highly recommend visiting this lovely place. Thank you to everyone there for making our visit perfect.

I attended a family wedding reception for a family member. We enjoyed a lovely venue for a summer gathering. We had a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. It was a muggy afternoon but very comfortable facility. The food was fun taco style. After the speeches honoring the couple, the music for dancing the afternoon away began. Everyone, of all ages, enjoyed the time together. We found that when the music started the building echoed the music making conversation hard. But moving outside solved that. A lovely celebration!

Beautiful winery, stopped to taste some local wine and were pleasantly surprised! Ended up buying 2 bottles to go.

Great deal: tasting is $10 for 4 wines of your choice , then if you buy 1 bottle 1 tasting will be free, if you buy 2 bottles both tastings are free.
There's also a good menu of you d like to just have some great food pairings to your wine.

Took mom and my sister here after a hike.. I don't like wine too much but they have some good beers on tap and their pizza is excellent. Spicy honey pepperoni with heavy basil, very nice! Well behaved dogs are welcome too, and in the summer (when we're not all locked at home) they sometimes have live music and food trucks too!

We stopped off and enjoyed the nice tannic Cab and soft leathery Syrah. We were glad to see the big empty patio seating, but somewhat horrified when the inside was full of big unmasked groups (with GOP bumper stickers). Fine, the patio's ours. The downside was we had to walk around the far edge of the other building to get away from their horrible playlist, and while there, my other half tore her rather nice Beretta jacket on a sharp burr that was jutting out of their poorly welded railing. So, you know, mixed bag I guess.
