Dr. Carla Bradshaw is a clinical psychologist in private practice working in Kirkland, Washington. Carla Bradshaw spent her early childhood growing up near Tokyo, Japan in the mid 1950's. Her early life and friendships in Japan as well as her friendships with expatriates from various other countries, has created an appreciation in her for the translational experience of being both part of and outside of any group.
I believe that working in the way I describe here requires a change in the conventional view of how relationships work. It departs fundamentally from notions of need, support, and "being on the same page", in favor of notions such as desire, compassion, and being whole within context of someone else who really matters to you."
Occasionally, people encounter trouble with Exit 18 of northbound 405 where the exit splits traffic to Kirkland and to Redmond. To get to my office, take Exit 18 and keep to the left in order to travel West to Kirkland on N. 85th St. This becomes Central Way which takes you into downtown Kirkland. Take a right onto Market St. to get to my office on the corner of Market and 11th.
