The Munising Motel is located in downtown Munising and within walking distance to many of the local Upper Michigan attractions. Alger County is a wonderful place to visit year round and the Munising Motel is a great place to stay while vacationing in the area.

The Munising Motel offers corporate, monthly, and seasonal rates. Our rooms are extremely clean and spacious. The Munising Motel has recently received remodeling inside and out. Newly renovated Munising Motel invites your family and friends to stay with us during your Upper Michigan Vacation to the beautiful Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore area.

Clean, spartan rooms. Park right in front of your room. Bring a folding chair or two as there is nowhere to sit in the room besides the beds. TV, wifi, refrigerator and microwave provided. Every place in Munising is very expensive for accommodations, this motel being the least cost.

Room was way overpriced for the accomodations. I've slept in nicer rooms for $50!!! Toilet paper was thinner than at rest stops, towels were cheap thin little pieces of cloth, bar of soap was so tiny you could blink your eyes & lose it!!! The bed was lumpy & soft. Needs a second set of steps to upper rooms & walkway is so narrow it's hard to carry luggage to those upper rooms. The window in the door might be pretty, but it's aweful if you want a dark room to sleep.Overall I would never recommend this place!!!

Comfortable bed, quiet rooms. Would be significantly better with a simple curtain over the glass in the door so that the rooms could be kept dark inside at night. Internet was very slow during our stay.

The room was well above average but...... upon entering our room we were overpowered by strong smell of cannabis. The room was aired out to my lady's satisfaction thanks to the efforts of the young man behind the counter. My issue, and the reason behind the two star rating, is with the owner. Apparently customer service isn't in her vocabulary. I found it difficult to believe she hadn't had this problem before. For this reason alone you should consider staying elsewhere. Oh, and the smell returned.

Clean and newly renovated. Staff was friendly. Close to town and overall a nice comfy stay. Would recommend.

Not too shabby but a little pricey for the small basic room. It was clean, we saw the employee on his hands and knees washing the hotel room floor with cleaner, they do the work for sure. The bathroom looked like it had some recent updates, good water pressure (if you're into that kind of thing).

For a motel, this place gets 4 stars: clean, 2 beds, shower, Keurig machine, cable, located right by all the food...my only complaint is I would have liked a small desk and chair. The outside is a false representation of the inside. The ac unit worked well also. The price was decent and it is a great place for a quick layover after checking out pictured rocks. There is parking in the front and the rear and the staff was able to answer all of my questions about the area.

They barely get three stars because the staff was so kind and accommodating. This is a basic motel right down town Munising close to all the restaurants and water. With the great location it left a bit to be desired in certain areas. The comforter had stains all over it not worth complaining about just something to mention here. The bed was super comfortable and a ton of pillows. The only other thing to note is the shower is tiny and it was honestly hard to shave my legs in there. The price point was high but it was a holiday weekend.

Staff was great. Room was updated with very nicely. Perfect size for 2 people for 1 night stay. Manager took time to explain issues they had with new system and resolved our billing issue immediately. Would stay here again if ever in that area.

Extremely expensive with zero amenities! Coffee was out and the office wasn't open so no coffee! The TV remote didn't work in our room, our friends had no air conditioning and most of the lights didn't work. Stay away from this place!

Very clean and comfortable room. Don't let the look from the outside scare you away. Check in went smoothly and was hassle free. The motel office is the owner's home, so the front desk is not continually staffed, but with a ring if the bell they come and take care of you. Ice machine and coffee pot are available in the office. The room was cleaner than some other big chain name outfits I've stayed with and was very pleased.

The hotel is located right off the highway and you do get some road noise. But, you are a short walk from the best restaurant and coffee shop in town; only

This is quite possibly the worst value for the money I have ever experienced. What you get for $120 - a bed. Period. No coffee pot, either in-room or in the lobby. No refrigerator. Tiniest shower stall imaginable, and no tub. Bathroom light doesn't work. Noisy traffic and cars parked no more than 36 inches from your door. A hostess so unwelcoming, she seemed pained to be forced to check us in. Continental breakfast, maybe? Heck no. Come to think of it, she didn't even look at us. When all the other motels in town were full, this was our only option. But I would not recommend it.
