Bare bones motel. Very, very, very old and dated. Beds were clean, but the rest of the unit.. not so much. A lot of necessary items missing or broken. Mold on one side of desk which was up against the refrigerator. You are paying for the gorgeous view, which is phenomenal! This motel is right on the shore of Lake Superior. Your door will open to a grassy area with seats and grills on the shoreline. A real pleasure! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! But you must weigh your wants and needs when making the choice to reserve here.

We had the king room with private balcony. Wonderful views of the lake and beautiful sunsets. The staff was very nice and everything was very clean. The only reason I gave it four stars was there was a very leaky shower head that drove us nuts. Also heard another guest complaining of the same issue.

Clean, basic rooms. However the view is worth it all. You can’t beat being right along the water and the price is very reasonable. They also have charcoal grills and picnic tables by the water and free bags of ice if you need to fill a cooler, but they do have your basic mini fridge and microwave in the room.
