The mission of Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School is to prepare young people for lives of faith, purpose and service. Committed to the Cristo Rey mission to serve students from communities most in need, our college preparatory curriculum integrates rigorous content with meaningful work experience and faith formation.
The Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady (FMOL) is the religious sponsor of Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School. The sisters of FMOL ensure that Cristo Rey Baton Rouge is Catholic in identity and mission, true to the religious charism of FMOL, and appropriately governed. Cristo Rey Baton Rouge has built a school culture based on shared values of Faith, Purpose and Service.
In this learning environment, we educate young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose and service. This unique model combines college preparatory education with a Corporate Work Study Program and is part of a larger, national network of 37 schools. Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School helps students graduate ready to succeed in college and life.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School community! We are pleased that you are considering applying to Cristo Rey Baton Rouge. We are accepting applications for students entering the 9th grade. A limited number of transfer spots will also be available for students entering the 10th and 11th grade.
Although the cost to educate each student is approximately $13,500 per year - which includes books, use of student laptop, and transportation - Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School is committed to making a high quality, Catholic college preparatory education available to qualified students from low-to-moderate income families.
