GEO Next Generation High School, a free 9-12 public charter school, opened its doors in Fall 2019. In GEO's Early College model, students are able to take free courses on a college campus for college credits, while simultaneously earning a high school diploma. GEO Next Generation High School is a part of a network of high quality charter schools managed by GEO Academies.

It joins GEO Prep Academy and GEO Prep Mid-City, both K-8 schools, and demonstrates GEO's commitment to delivering a high quality K-12 learning experience to parents and students in the Baton Rouge community. GEO Next Generation High School is unique to Baton Rouge in that our entire focus is getting students to and through college and/or career certifications.
Services
We are delighted you have selected GEO Next Generation High School for your child to attend for the 2021-2022 school year. We are looking forward to working together to help our scholars gain the tools they need to be successful on their journey to college. All applications submitted during open enrollment periods will have an equal opportunity for admission.
When we started the Greater Educational Opportunities (GEO) Foundation back in 1998, we did so because we don't believe one size fits all. Since 2001, we have focused on breaking down the barriers to college and successful careers for low-income and minority youth. Xavier, Howard University, Michigan State, Purdue, Indiana University, University of Kentucky, Southern Methodist University, and IUPUI.
GEO Next Gen High School understands the value of providing a well-rounded athletic program to encourage and support our scholars in a team environment. It is part of our model that prepares our scholars academically as well as motivate and cultivate teamwork, togetherness and school pride. Athletics provide a foundation to build strength of character, determination and self-discipline-skills they will use throughout their lives.
GEO Next Generation High School is unique to Baton Rouge in that our entire focus is getting students to and through college and/or career certifications. Traditional high school electives and higher level courses will be taken at the college level, not at the high school level, nor on our high school campus.

If I could give this school zero stars I would. Some of the teachers need to grow up and mature more. Some of the staff members need to learn how to communicate better. This school is so unorganized and they wonder why children drop out of school. All they do is provoke these kids. It's so sad. I thought it was a nice school but it's not it just looks nice.
