Found Steve through google and boy glad I did. I called him around noon to check out a 1965 mustang and he reported back to me that night about the car. The reports were very detailed, lots of photos and videos. What I thought might of been a good find turned out not to be. He saved me lots of money and head aches.

I live in Ohio and was looking at a classic car in California. I researched, read reviews and came to the conclusion that Car Inspectors, would probably be the company I should use to inspect the vehicle I was interested in. I contacted Steve to get a pre-purchase inspection on a 2012 car I was buying. I asked him if I could tag along while he performed the inspection. This was great since he could explain to me in real-time (both during the test-drive and during the condition inspection) some of the things he was noticing about the car. I engaged with Steve to inspect a car in CA (I live in WI) to determine whether I should buy it sight unseen. Steve was able to get to the dealer faster than expected, and put up with an ill-prepared car and spent more time than normal to finish the job. To keep it short, Steve was excellent. I needed someone to do a pre-purchase inspection pretty quickly luckily, I came across Car Inspectors online. I called right up, Steve was the one to answer and he was able to schedule an inspection right away. He did a pretty thorough job of checking the car. After the inspection, he called me right away to tell me everything that concerned him about the car. He was very genuine about everything. In addition, there were many videos and pictures that he provided. The guy looks at every little detail.

I called Steven before I bought a used car. The dealership was out in the middle of nowhere, but he still came out to look at the potential purchase. I was expecting a "casual glance and test drive," but he took his time and went through every aspect of the car. Steve is top notch. Very friendly, professional, and thorough. I'm purchasing a late 60's classic and not knowledgeable enough about cars to know what to look for. I have found Steve's troubleshooting abilities as a mechanic to be very keen and for his prices to be very reasonable. For example I was having problems with my 1989 Thunderbird engine. It would race instead of slowing down to idle speed when I came to a stop. A few mechanics had me replace a few parts but the problem still persisted. They couldn't figure it out. When I had Steve look at it he took his ohm meter and determined that the throttle speed potentiometer controlled by the gas peddle was no good. He replaced it and it fixed the problem. I think he is not only a very good car

As a new arrival in LA who knows nothing about cars, I was pretty apprehensive about buying from a private seller on Craigslist. I found a car that I thought was a good prospect and Steve responded very promptly to my enquiry, offering to go and check out the vehicle the very next day. Found Steve through Google and contracted with him to inspect a classic car that had been advertised on ebay. I had spoken to the seller who claimed that the car ran great and that there was no evidence of rust. In fact, I struck a deal to buy the car but the seller didn't want to wait the 5 days it was going to take me to drive 300 miles to collect the car. I believed him but didn't want to send the amount in full until I saw the car.

The car had 72,000 miles on the clock, there was no service history paperwork and I was buying through a dealer and unable to assess the previous owner. I figured it made sense to have an expert look at it.
I paid online in the evening. Next morning I got a call from Steve around 10am saying that he was already on his way to Santa Monica to check out the vehicle! By mid afternoon Steve had called me and given me a verbal assessment

I found Steve through Angie's List and had no idea what to expect! I was extremely impressed. Although I've never met Steve my conversations with him on the phone and communications via email were very professional. His price was quite reasonable but most importantly his inspection and report were thorough and comprehensive. Awesome!! We found Car Inspectors through a quick google search and hired Steve to check out a car that we were thinking of buying from someone we found on Craigslist. He met us at the guy's house and took a good hour + to thoroughly check out the car from top to bottom- literally! He also took us on a test drive and tested everything down to sharp turns. He even told us how long we had left on the tires! Such a great investment. I am so happy that we found him!!!
