Your riding style (laid back cruising, sitting upright, or sporty and grinding it out)?. A: TPI is an acronym for Threads Per Inch and describes how fine the threads are in a tire's casing.
I highly recommend Ben and his bikes! We went in with questions about a seat for my cruiser that we had already purchased & Ben & his staff were EXTREMELY friendly and helpful! Great service and people here! Shipped a new stationary bike for my elderly mother here and they are going to assemble it and deliver it for reasonable prices.

I am new to Bikes but I knew I wanted to shop local, after walking into Bens I knew why. Ben didn’t have the bike I was looking for but took the time to find the right one online that was perfect for me. Although I had to wait a couple months Ben put me on a list and made sure to call as soon as the bike became available. From start to finish I couldn’t recommend this shop enough! They’ve definitely earned a customer for life, thanks again to Ben and his whole staff couldn’t be more happy!

Can't say enough good things about this place. Friendly, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, warm and engaging.
I bought my bike in to have the tire fixed and to have them look at the rear gear hub. The job was completed within a day and will under their estimate.
I do prefer using local businesses and this shop is at the top of my list!

Called on the phone looking for an expert XL bmx bike for my son. They said they had one, I went to pick it up and asked multiple times if the frame was an expert xl size to which they confirmed multiple times. Paid for the bike got it home and while looking at a cross threaded pedal they sold it with I flipped it over and the frame was marked pro xl. Took the bike back to return it for being a totally different size than they said it was. They said they would refund the money and I left the bike. After several calls and several days of not seeing the return and continuing to be told it had been

Had an absolutely great experience looking for a bike and they were very helpful. Called for question and and the lady I spoke with on the phone was completely disrespectful. I simply asked if they were open to a walk in to look at something and the response was in such a way as if it's my problem and I should figure it out. From my first experience I was so happy that they were going to be my local dealer but now I'll have to go elsewhere.
Edit: Immediately called a different shop and asked the same question. "Yeah let's bring it in and see what we can do but we may not be able to have any work

We have gone to Ben's Bikes twice now. Once last year when we had our first experience with Tucson's "Goat Heads". He gave advise on what we needed and had everything we needed. This year again, he was helpful in getting us equipment for our new EBikes so we will not have the any issues with "Goat Heads". Hopefully. Each time we have been there Ben and all the staff were friendly and engaging. I would definitely recommend anyone in the Tucson area and have any issues with their bicycles to contact Ben's Bikes for assistance.

Visited this bike shop on short notice to have a spoke replaced (had just traveled 2000 miles from North Carolina and forgotten to have it fixed before we left). They got me in right away and had the wheel fixed and resealed (tubeless) in no time. Super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly folks here.

Simply stellar. Really!. I loaded up my old mountain bike which had been in storage 15+ years and took it to Ben's for badly needed attention. I received solid advice on what had to be done and a few vital component upgrades. The result? Wow! My bike was ready to go a day or two later and it is beautiful! Clean. Safe. Smooth as greased lightening. No more clickity-clack. Quality components. Superb workmanship. Fair and affordable price. And on top of all this, I helped support a beautiful home grown local business. Go Ben's Bikes !!!!!

Snarky, unfriendly, expensive and seemed not to care about the pandemic. This bike shop seems to stay afloat by a good old boy network / word of mouth through VETS. Doesn't imply helpful or competent. I have been around bikes my whole life this place rubbed me the wrong way. I also didn't like the way they spoke to the older woman working the front counter. She might be cool with it but coming from the east coast well we don't do that. That is all.

Today I purchased a bike at Ben's Bikes and I have to tell you- THEY ARE AMAZING! Customer service was awesome and they took the time to answer all my questions. The bike comes with a tune up but I was told on three occasions that I'll have to leave it there for two to three weeks. They won't make appointments for bike service even if you've spent close to $2,000 on a bike.
Also, wanted to purchase some tires and accessories, the woman who was going to help us disappeared. Gave the shop many tries but with the competition out there we're looking elsewhere.

I'm a healthy 72-year-old with a wife at home with co-morbidities. Wearing face mask and shield I went into Ben's. A sixty-something woman stood behind the cash register and a man (Ben?) Called a friendly hello. They're were maybe 6-8 people in the store. Been came over right away to ask what I was looking for, friendly. I started to tell him but stopped mid-sentence to ask a question. "Why is no one wearing a mask?" Honestly, I was terrified. Ben's friendly reply was that the store tried to social distance. I highly recommend this bike shop. First off I am not local to AZ. I was shopping for a bike online and they had the bike in stock. The customer service and knowledge is first rate. Transaction and assistance to help ship out the bike via Bikeflight was very painless and smooth.

My daughter is a COVID-19 nurse. The nurses on her unit are getting sick. They have had constant exposure, without adequate personal protective equipment, to people sick with the coronavirus. Ben is one of the most genuine shop owners I've ever met. Although I'm nowhere near pro, he is the stand up type of guy to explain everything necessary to get you whatever product that you need, not just what you think you want. Ben had the heart to even help me learn how to ride a bike because it is truly his goal to get as many people on bikes as possible. I'm extremely grateful and hope that more beginners find the confidence to walk in and explore.

I was introduced to Ben's Bikes thru my brother in law who is an AF retiree like Ben. I can't begin to tell you how great Ben and his staff are. I ended up buying 2 identical bikes, one for me and one for friends who come visit. I'm not 100 mile El Tour de Tucson rider but i did just ride my first El Tour race (26.85 miles) Ben and his crew checked my bikes thoroughly before the race and i am happy to report ZERO issues. Just a group of great guys who give the best possible available.

This store would not offer a free helmet even when their website says they do. That is just poor customer service. If you can't offer folks a helmet for safely purposes you shouldn't let anyone take one out. $3 would have made this customer happy and I never write poor reviews because I am used to being treated respectfully. This store and manager did not and argued with me that if their website says a customer CAN get a bike helmet it does not really mean they WILL get one with their rental. Really!!! So disappointing customer service.

They completed my frame-up build fast and with precision and care. Don was great explaining some things to me and set the bike up perfectly.
Their sign on the window says that they are celebrating 7 years in business, and with this kind of personalized service, they will be around for many years to come.
