Horrible customer service. Was there to buy an electric bike but the sales associate didn't seems like he wanted to be bothered. Ended up leaving 5 minutes after getting there. You should go to pedago bikes on river and Campbell or oro valley bikes, they actually want to sell you a bike and have them ready to let you try them out and explain everything to you. I will never return to ajo bikes.

This quite honestly is one of the best, most helpful bike shops. they have machining equipment, a huge variety of bikes including aftermarket rims, bike equipment, the store itself is large and spacious and everyone there is very helpful with a great attitude. would come again. a note on who i believe to be the owner, or manager, i am unsure but he is one of the most helpful people i have dealt with when it comes to bikes, he listens and does everything he can to get you set straight. such a great shop.

I drove down from Gilbert as I know Ajo has probably the best selection of recumbents in the state. I am considering getting a recumbent trike as my body doesn't work as well as it used to. So, there I was, staring at the inventory on hand and, Brian, the owner, came over and asked if he could help. I explained my situation and Brian showed me a number of different models he thought would be appropriate. (The body may be old but my brain still thinks I am a teenager.) Being a first time Mountain bike rider I had no idea where to start! Called in and picked Brian N. brain for some time and ended up making the trip from surprise out there and it was well worth it! I couldn't be happier with the service and my purchase here! They've gained a customer for life!

I came here to get my Specialized branded hybrid bike repaired.
The owner of this place works in the bike shop and is a fantastic person all around. Incredibly knowledgeable about bikes.
During my first visit, they quoted me a repair cost of around $120, and stated that it would take about a month to repair it because I had come at the beginning of their busy season. However, they finished it in about a week early, and charged me a little bit extra for parts (about $7).
Upon leaving, I found the seat a little too high, and the repairman took care of it very quickly.

3/13/2021 --- I am writing to express my sincere thanks to AJO Bikes, especially staffperson Kris, who helped me and my girlfriend pick out new bicycles. Kris listened well and made sure that we got bikes that are suitable for our needs and ones that are properly sized. He also helped pick out accessories that I wanted (bag and bag carrier, pedal straps, and bike rack for the car). He scheduled a specific time for us to bring the car in so he could assemble and fit the bike rack for the car. He took care to make sure we knew how to place and lock the bikes into the rack. Had a full tune-up + new brakes/rotors for my mountain bike ~$400. Everything was great until 6 months later when my front brake developed rotor noise and I noticed a loose caliper mount and overhanging brake pad wear pattern.
When I brought it in they sold me a new rotor. I pointed out that the cup washers were still loose and was told that was normal (???). They couldn't fix the noise after 2 tries so I left. Long story short I figured it out at another shop. Turns out Ajo had installed the new brakes with incorrect spacing (overhanging pads) and flipped the bolts (bottomed out bolt, loose)

Drove to Ajo Bikes for my first visit on 12/1/2020 at 3:00 on a Tuesday, to learn about recumbent trikes. I'm a 71 year old male, good looking...oops; I thought this was a dating site for a minute. I'm experienced with road and mountain bikes, but knew almost nothing about recumbents. It was a busy shop, but within one minute of walking in the door I was approached by the salesperson named Kris. He was very knowledgable, professional, and friendly.
He asked me questions to learn why I came in, and to get a sense of my experience with bikes. He was a good listener and provided many opportunities

I've been coming here for a little while for maintenance on my bike. They've always been very knowledgeable and friendly and worked to make sure I was taken care of. When it was time to upgrade, they went out of their way to help me get the right bike for me. I wish more businesses were run like them. I will be a customer for life.

Ajo bikes came through for me after a slow repair start on my diamondback electric bike. I bought a 48v lithium replacement battery for $550 from them but the bike still didn't work. After about 10 days of the bike At their store awaiting more parts, they figured out a further repair and part total of about $620 more was needed. This made no sense on a 3 yr old bike for which I paid $1000 elsewhere, so owner Brian allowed me to apply the battery purchase towards a new electric bike at a fair price. Left happy.

Flew to Tucson from Denver with my beautiful new Trek Madone with a tubeless set up and when I got to Tucson realized I needed a shop close to get my sealant replenished and air! I had my hand pump, put in as much air as I could and rode the 3.5 miles to this place. I am very happy they were the closest to my hotel. They were AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Got new sealant put in my tires super fast, grabbed a few things and my total bill was under $15.00!!!! WOW! thanks so much you guys were GREAT!

I am yet again blown away by the customer service at Ajo Bikes. I took my 'new to me' bike there so they could check on a couple of small things. They don't try to sell you something you don't need. I have a great deal of confidence in Chris.

I went to Ajo Bikes looking for a Trike. Ready to pay cash for a new Catrike. The one I was looking for had been sold. They sold me a used one for a good chunk of money, told me it would be ready at 3:00pm. they were supposed to go over it and make sure it was in great shape for riding. I didn't actually get it handed over until 4:30pm. The tecnician did not know how to properly shorten the chain. The bike kept hanging up and not shifting properly. The technician kept riding the bike around the parking lot and could have damaged it badly. When we got it home my Husband had to rework

Fixed my wheel for a good price. Nice people who know bikes. I will be back if i still need to iron out any problems caused on purpose by a crooked store in NJ who sabotaged my bike on purpose for the evil corrupt state. Ungrateful cowards who take my $3500 and purposely causes me problems. Then go to yelp and try and get my truth removed. This was not the case at Ajo Bikes. Ajo is a proper shop. Thanks.
