Authentic Shaolin Kung Fu
We understand when looking for a martial arts school, there is a lot of choices out there, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Self-Defense to MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). We train in a traditional setting, honoring the origin of all these martial arts, Shaolin Kung Fu. For over thirty years, Shifu Gregg Zilb has trained and taught Lohan Chuan Kung Fu.

In those years he has promoted, demonstrated, and preserved the old time traditions that has made Lohan Chuan such an amazing system. What you can expect is a high energy atmosphere that focuses on traditional training. Forms, weapons, fighting, Taijiquan, physical fitness are just some of the skills and benefits you will receive while training, learning this 1500 year old war art that has adapted to fit into the 21st century era.

Shifu Lloyd has been training in traditional northern Shaolin Kung Fu for 21 years. Searching for a number of years for an "old school" Kung Fu school, Shifu found a home at the Authentic Shaolin Kung Fu.

Competing and winning awards in many tournaments for forms, weapons and fighting, Shifu Lloyd has now turned his attention to teaching, he has become "Yup Sut Dai Gee" (inner door disciple) to Shifu Gregg and continuing the traditions that make Shaolin Kung Fu an exemplary and exquisite martial art.Shifu Lloyd maintains that in order to properly learn Shaolin Kung Fu, you must first learn to eat bitter.
Shifu Levy started training at Authentic Shaolin Kung Fu in the summer of 1999 at 19 years old. Shifu trained rigorously to receive his black sash and became a Yup Sut Dai Gee in 2004. After years of training and staying dedicated to Shaolin, Shifu Levy who is now 35 years old will never turn back.
Being a former Marine Corp Sgt and training with Shifu Gregg and Shifu Lloyd gives me motivation, determination, and focus for my martial arts, also leading by example, not just talking about it. Shifu Gregg has taught me to push forward and, through training, overcome physical problems and mental barriers.
Lao Shi Leo Started training in Martial Arts at 9 years old, until the age of 14. At age 23, he resumed his training after hearing about the traditional training practices of Authentic Shaolin Kung Fu, he made it his mission to join Shifu Gregg's impressive school. Shaolin has helped me to become a more complete person by focusing my mind, body and spirit.
Lao Shi Shane started his Martial Arts venture at the age of 8 years old in American Freestyle Karate but moved to a new city before attaining a black belt. When he was 18, he started working for Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament where he became an actor/stunt performer, which included riding horses, jousting, and wielding a wide array of medieval weaponry.

I was looking for a new school that trained Shaolin Kung Fu after having a bad experience at another school. This school was all I was looking for and more. This is a traditional school, with dedicated caring teachers. my children could not have better role models. If you are looking for martial arts training that can be applied to real life situations, and a school that will care about you and your family, look no further. This is the school for you.

Was great for my kid for quite a few years. Unfortunately, lately it has turned into a money grab. Same repetitive material with no focus on teaching new material to attain the next level or sash. They will happily do private lessons to teach the material for a cost. Hopefully, they will one day return to their core values.

Dedicated teachers with a passion for what they do. My journey with this school started over 15 years ago and although my life journey has taken me geographically away I can attest to the quality of instructors you will meet and engage with. To help set context for this review, I previously was a travelling student for this school (I lived hours away and would travel just to train with them). While I haven't been able to train recently with them in the past years I was able to reconnect and start training remotely again. Here is a summary of what to expect with the school and some of my personal

Rarely have I had so much fun working so hard. Great teachers. My son also goes and I watch most of the kids classes. The number of instructors is impressive, usually no more than 5 students per instructor, ensuring that your child gets a high level of attention and positive feedback.

I've been to many schools in my short life and never found anything quite like this school. The instructors care, and really want you to get the most out of your training. Traditional martial arts, as well as real world practical applications. It's a little more than just a kung fu school, it's a lifestyle, and a family atmosphere. If you're a veteran of the martial arts world, or someone looking to make their way into the world this school is the right one for you.

One of the most qualified martial arts schools around. Keeping true Shaolin tradition alive while infusing modern understanding to help and enrich the lives of all their students. Highly recommend.

Best Martial Arts School in Long Island, NY. Great team atmosphere, family owned, makes us feel like family as well. You will learn quickly, and safely, this potent and ancient art, with modern application to tactical self defense. Children's classes are so well organized by awesome instructors, I trust them to train my 3 kids and am sooooo proud of their growth. Adult classes are challenging, but let you learn and grow, meeting you at your fitness level and ability...in a progression to better strength, flexibility, range of motion and health. Thai Chi and Chi Gong class too! Come check out this
