Please note: The center has been in operation through the pandemic. We remained open to serve children of essential workers. We have done this with an abundance of caution including wearing masks (teachers and children 3 and up), limiting outside visitors, and cleaning and sanitizing.
As the state begins to reopen, our goal is to continue being open and following guidelines outlined by the Office of Early Childhood, the CDC and the Connecticut Health Department. We have been doing virtual tours and very limited in-person tours. Some of our programs have been put on hold and will resume with the health crisis is over.

Services
The Woodbridge Child Center was created by parents in 1995 in response to a need in Woodbridge and the surrounding communities for a comprehensive, high quality, full-time early care and education program that fostered individual development, optimal growth and the realization of each child's potential to be a responsive and responsible human being.
It is through our environment, materials and learning experiences (both inside and outside the classroom) that enhances learning. The teacher's role as facilitator, along with intentional teaching, supports children's growth, needs, and interests of the children. This classroom offers an enriching learning environment for our youngest children.
We currently have a wait list for the Preschool room and Pre-K room. If you are interested in fall enrollment for these rooms, please contact us for information. The Center is open to all children, regardless of race, religion, gender, creed, or disability. We serve children between the ages of six weeks and five years.
I am very pleased with the quality of care my child receives at Woodbridge Child Center. The mix of play and academics is fantastic in the Pre-K room and I have full confidence that my son will be properly prepared to enter Kindergarten. It is very clear that the teachers love the kids and have their best interests in mind when preparing lessons and activities.
NAEYC maintains a list of programs that are currently accredited to assist individuals in finding NAEYC accredited programs in their area. NAEYC for Families website assists families in gaining knowledge of how their children will grow and learn. The goal of the Care 4 Kids program is to make child care affordable for low to moderate income families in Connecticut.

WCC is a hidden gem! Both of my children have been attending the Woodbridge Child Center since they were 12 weeks old and I fully trust the center’s ability to nurture, love and teach my children. A couple years ago, the center had changes in leadership and there was a lot of staff turnover. Since then, a new director was hired, things have completely turned around and I couldn't be happier! The director is on top of things, highly responsive, and involved in the daily operations of the center. Teachers are creative and caring. As working parents, we especially appreciate the center’s long

I have been so happy with the care my children have received at Woodbridge Child Center. From the nurturing environment in the infant and toddler rooms to the excellent play-based curriculum in the preschool and pre-K rooms. The enclosed playground, proximity to the town library, and gym to play in on rainy days have only enhanced our experience.
