We (Keith and Sarah) started Walters Wedding Estates after we purchased and lived onsite at The Wildwood Inn (Denton, TX) in 2005. We hadn't been out of college for very long and while we spent a lot of time proving ourselves, we were also learning the hospitality industry in the most "hands-on" approach possible.

My husband and I got married at this venue in October 2021 and the venue is absolutely stunning. The natural lighting in the chapel and the ballroom are to die for. However, there are a number of things we weren't the biggest fans of working with this venue.
One: Communication is poor working with this venue. There were several times throughout the 11 months we worked with them where we reached out and was left on read. There were several misunderstanding between timing of working with a wedding coordinator (we were initially told we were working with a wedding planner) to who we were ACTUALLY

REEM was a pleasure to work with. In the beginning of planning for the event, I was a little frustrated with one of the staff members as we were charged WAY before our final headcount was submitted. I gave an estimate of expected guests and was charged for the max estimate, which was 25 people higher than we had. We had 2 meetings scheduled, one of which was forgotten about and Reem saved the day with a phone call to apologize and answer any questions we had. REEM was the one who made sure our dollars were stretched by keeping the bar open until the end of the evening and throwing in some extra

My wedding was 12/19/2021 and there is nothing else to be said besides it was AMAZING. The venue is absolutely beautiful. Reem and her team were SPOT ON with everything. It was a bit rough since I planned the whole wedding out of the Houston area but everything was laid out beautifully. Emailed for over a week with a rep there name Tara to try and get a tour. Every time I would request the tour she would completely ignore it and ask a question that was irrelevant to my request. She sent over pricing, which was great, and continued to ignore my request for a tour. At the end of the week nearly, she finally stated she is not available on the date that I was requesting. No problem, let me know what date you’re available for the weekend. ‘Not sure’. Every question was answered with a question. I have never had this experience before with any venue. Terrible client services.

While I’m sure others have had wonderful experiences here, we regretted choosing Ashton gardens north for months before our wedding. We were told multiple things, in writing, that the staff then went back on and said “I can’t do anything about it.” It’s understandable that you cannot change the policies, but then why in the world were the policies not communicated properly? We were straight up lied to. I had multiple comments from family and guests that our coordinator was rude the day of. We Just attended a wedding in this location. It can easily house one of 200 ppl though this one was smaller. The chapel is lovely with large windows behind the altar area. There was an issue with the sound which should have been fixed immediately rather then letting half the ceremony go by before letting it self correct due to the entire belt pack being dropped by the minister and when repositioned the mic was now in a good place. The chapel is simple white allowing you to add decor as planned/themed.

First, let me start by saying how beautiful and cost effective this venue is. You have the comfort of being indoors, and still have the beauty of the outdoors since both the chapel and reception has glass windows! Next, the staff, our coordinator, sales directory were all exceptional. At not point in the planning process were we lost in the mix, and for the big day, our coordinator not only kept us on time and events moving, but she made it so that it felt seamless and stress free! They definitely made the execution of our special day flawless!

You will not find a better wedding venue in Houston! Our day was perfect, fun, and easy! It doesn't matter what the weather is like or what your budget is, this venue makes your dream day a reality. Our coordinator, Amanda, was there every step of the way. Her organization made the day go by flawlessly so we could actually focus on the ceremony and each other. So I hope that I can add a "father of the bride" perspective to these reviews. I can truthfully say that I consider AG not only a venue but THE venue for weddings. They know what they're doing, and our coordinator Jazz treated us like HER family. My wife and I were so happy with the outcome of our daughter's wedding. Yes, there were a couple small hiccups. Beautiful venue with amazing staff! We enjoyed every moment of our wedding day here, from the planning, food, cocktail hour, and our coordinator everything happened perfectly! They let you try a sample menu which really helped us make a decision on our entrees and cocktail bites! Our coordinator Paige was amazing!! She was so professional and quick to reply to any question or concern we had. I still get compliments about how this was the most beautiful and fun wedding they have ever been to. I would recommend this place for all couples wanting a stress-free, beautiful wedding!

We had our wedding at Ashton Gardens a little over a week ago. The venue is absolutely beautiful, which means we didn't have to do much as far as flowers and decor. Our coordinator was incredibly helpful and always willing to answer questions. We enjoyed the food, and guests commented how good it was as well. It's a bit pricey, but we wouldn't have changed a thing.

Beautiful venue. Great people to work with. All of our guests loved the venue, loved the food, and thought it was breath taking. Can't say enough how happy we were with the venue. They were incredibly accommodating, and I appreciate how they give you the linens and decorations complimentary. Because it was such a beautiful venue, we could go minimal on the decorations. The tasting was exceptionally well done as well. We had great experience with their preferred vendors. The venue is a little on the pricier side, but worth every single penny. I highly recommend.

Recently I attended a Sunday morning wedding and reception at Ashton Gardens. The compound was a ways from the city but it was pretty easy to find.
The wedding chapel and reception hall were connected by a covered walkway. I liked the convenience of parking in the huge lot out front and not having to get in my car again until the festivities ended.

Ashton Gardens is a wonderful facility specifically designed for weddings although I am sure they can host a number of events. The staff was well coordinated and worked effectively to remain on schedule, we know wedding can easily get off schedule. However they were able to remain on schedule without making anyone feel rushed.
The food was tasty and fulfilling. There was plenty of seating space and dance floor space. The Grounds where nicely kept with picturesque scenery.
For an all inclusive facility who makes your day your day. This is the place to beat.

My complaint is more oriented around the food. I was at a wedding there Sunday night and the food was absolutely terrible. I was told this was a $150 per head arrangement, and the menu consisted of a salad with endives and candied walnuts, and an entree choice of steak or salmon.
Several tables were served salad with no dressing, and a cousin found mold in her salad, for which she is suffering from food poisoning after eating it.

I have now had the delightful experience of attending 2 weddings at Ashton Gardens. The venue itself is very pretty and extremely easy to get to with plenty of private parking. This is basically an all-in-one type venue where you can have the ceremony, take pictures and the reception without having to get in your car and risk having half your guestlist getting lost or relying on a GPS.

(being a florist) i was super happy to hear that we were getting an Ashton gardens. It is a breathtaking venue. The chapel ceremony hall is gorgeous with the open wood, and the glass windows, and there are so many options you can decorate with. then you go next door and the party hall is nice and roomy, also very easy to decorate, simple but elegant. I love that the bride and groom get a grand entrance down the staircase. It is affordable. and guaranteed to give you a wedding you and your guests will not forget. Okay so my husband and I finally had our day on April 28th. It rained cats and cows all day but Ashton Gardens is so nice that our guests did not even pay attention to the weather. Our Ceremony was at 12:30PM and everything started on time. Our wedding coordinator Mary White made sure everything ran smoothly. The service at this place is suburb. Once the Ceremony ended and the guests moved over to the ballroom the staff came over in the rain to the chapel to serve the wedding party appetizers and drinks while we were taking pictures. After the photos my wedding party lined up to walk into the ballroom
