I do not recommend this place I live next door and cockroaches from these apartments come into my apartment. I have my apartment sprayed at least every two months because of Holly apartments! I’ve also called the managers many times for them to move where they put their trash bins which is in front of the apartment building next to theirs. It’s absolutely absurd that they do not listen to their neighbors requests and that they do not use their space in front of THEIR very big apartment complex for trash pickup! These apartments are DIRTY and the people that live there are obnoxious and loud

Dontrell has a no-pressure approach and in the leasing process was v. accommodating when there were multiple variances in timing with my cross-country move. Caitlin was good to talk to re: HSV community policies, contract / agreement questions, etc. We have not moved in yet, our move-in date is tomorrow, but have had a full-stars experience to-date. I have lived here going on 8 years. Yes, PRIOR to our current manager, Keith Jones, the PREVIOUS management was horrible. Since Keith has been here, everything has made a wonderful turn for the best!
When a new manager arrives, that person must first CORRECT the wrongs from the previous manager and get up to speed with everything. Considering this complex is larger that may take time. Keith came in with a positive attitude, professionalism and is customer service-friendly. He wants to address your concerns and if he's in a meeting he'll respond to an email. Here's my experience

Ive lived here many years (3+) and have an older unit that originally had some issues I came across due to its age. However Rudy and Marlon have never ceased to amaze me with how quick and efficient they work and respond to my many maintenance requests, they even got me a new dishwasher. Management has always been super helpful

This is the worst apartment I have never live before, this apartment is not safe! Is not quite! The neighbor is not good! And is not comfortable!
I have very bad live experience here the first thing is my car has been stolen by someone in the underground parking and there was a lot of homeless people walking around in the garage when's midnight, I live at first floor and the homeless people walking under my window everyday loud and noise when I report this to the office that my car has been stolen the staff just tell me to report to the renter insurance company and that's it!

First of all, I decided to move to Holly Apartments all because of Rachel. Rachel has been so helpful and knowledgeable in my process of moving to Holly Apartments. I'm extremely thrilled with my move here and everything has been steady and easy! Rachel is friendly, understanding, and quick when I have any questions or need anything at all. I love the staff here and the location is unbeatable! Walking around is safe and there is so much to see, do, and eat here! I'm happy about my decision and glad I chose this place.

Location: 5 Stars - Centrally / Conveniently located close to good stores, restaurants, Metro station and City Hall. Pedestrian friendly neighborhood.
Maintenance: 5 Stars - Rudy Perez is exceptionally good skilled and friendly for any maintenance issues.
Management Staff: 5 Stars - Juan, Keith and Rachael are very responsive, professional and helpful.
Rent: 3 Stars - Rent is high and it keeps increasing every year. Something to consider prior to leasing.
Overall: 4 Stars - Ownership should consider upgrading the Units with new windows on the Metro Station side for occasional night time noise

I've lived here for just under 2 years now, and it's my favorite home I've ever had. Since I've lived here, they've switched out every single elevator for brand new ones. They also hired a different security company that checks the stairwells, so that way people aren't smoking in them setting off the fire alarms.
Since the Covid-19 changes to our county, they communicated very well with residents about what to expect and how they were going to be keeping residents safe, which I really appreciated. I constantly see the cleaning crew wiping down buttons in the elevator

Me and my husband stopped by at Holly Street Village Apartments couple weeks ago and wanted to check out some apartments. It was 2 ladies in the office who was not busy at all. They told me that they do tours by appointment only and ONLY after online tour. We understood that and asked them at least for prices, she told us: everything by phone. Was it that hard to tell us some numbers?!
Then I left all my information and lady told me that she would call me to schedule a appointment for online tour. NO ONE called me. Then I also left a request online and no one contacted me either.

I have been a resident with Holly for over 2 years now and I can't rate this property high enough. I would give 6 stars if that was an option. Rachel, Juan, and Keith are all best in class managers of this location. Their responsiveness and kind demeanor are exactly what you would expect from a white-glove management team. The residents here feel safe and they have a voice if there is a concern. Rachel and Juan always greet our dog every time we walk past the office. They love pets! Which a lot of places do not. It will be hard to leave this place when I do decide to buy a house. The location

I absolutely loved living at Holly St apartments! If I hadn't had to relocate for work I would have never moved! If you're looking for a clean, luxurious apartment within walking distance of restaurants, shops, movie theaters, etc. this is the best place to live! The amenities are great with nice size gym with a variety of equipment, beautiful pool/ lounging area, hot tub, bbqing area and not to mention the beautiful walkways. The manager Keith is so kind and always takes care of any issues! The staff is always friendly and accommodating of any needs. Maintenance is always on top of

I leased an apartment for 13 months and have enjoyed my time with the community and the apartment complex. Rachel has been a delight to communicate with for any purposes to do with the complex. Juan has Keith have always been willing to help with any questions or concerns I may have had, which were very few. Location is second to none. Would recommend.

Overall Holly Street Village is a great place to live. The apartments are updated with new appliances, they have a gym that we took advantage of and the staff is great. They were responsive to all the issues we had while we lived there(especially Rachel and Keith). The best thing about this place is that it's right next to the gold line. This made it really convenient to get to work in dtla. Also, you're in old town so it's easy to just get out and take a walk to the shops. They recently upgraded the elevators which is definitely a plus.

I would like to follow up on my girlfriend's recent review (See Danielle O's review). Keith, due to your ignorant and dismissive comment, I now feel obligated to post the cockroach pictures (waterbugs or whatever you'd like to call them- very similar) and elaborate on the bloody walkways.

Just don't come here! It's expensive, and they only take your money! Second year increase is outrageous, and they have no solutions or initiatives for improving the buildings. For example, now the elevator would be in repair for 3 weeks, they didn't provide any solution or different alternatives to stairs. If I wasn't working from home wouldn't be a problem, but I'll have to carry up and down the stairs so much stuff in the next weeks that I'll move out today if I could. When I talked to them they were like.. "what solution? Alternatives?"

It is over 2 weeks since I moved here. Very quiet and easy to access Metro gold line. The location is middle closely and nicely between Old Pasadena and the beautiful Pasadena City Hall building. I really am enjoying hanging out there.
Most of all, the staffs are very kind and friendly. They really take care of everything I ask. Absolutely awful. The management team is not only extremely unhelpful they openly neglect public safety concerns. They use the good location to justify everything they do wrong here:
1. UNSAFE elevators, it breaks randomly and SO SO frequently I don't understand why they haven't gotten new ones
2. FIRE ALARMS goes off every other week and it's always in the middle of the night scaring everyone awake, there's never an explanation or apology from the management team, their pathetic answer is always "Sorry can't control that"
3. They lied to my roommate and I about

I've lived at Holly Street Village since April 2016. Since then, I have referred two friends to move in and am currently in the works of getting 2 more friends to move into the community.
Juan has been our go-to person for everything since we have moved in and he is amazing. His customer service & follow-through has made my stay here one of the best rental experiences I have had, ever!
Red recently joined this year and she, too, has been amazing! Friendly & helpful!
All in all, a great place with great people!

At 1pm I made an appointment for 2pm. I confirmed the price and availability with Juan, the guy with the Luigi moustache. Over the phone he said the unit available for rent next month could not be seen because of tenants, but another unit in one of their other buildings looked exactly the same and we can look at that.
When we got there I reminded him of our conversation because he wanted to show us a more expensive unit- the one he said we could see over the phone was under construction. I told him which unit we wanted and that we had JUST spoken. Juan replied that his coworker just rented it

I rented a 2 bedroom plus loft facing Holly Street during 2010-2011. Let me start off with the positives about this place. Location, prompt maintenance, friendly security and great floor plans.
Now for the negatives...
1. A lot of break ins
2. My bike and boyfriends bike got stolen. As well as all of the other bikes that were locked up on the bike rack provided in the gated, "secured" underground parking
3. The numerous number of section 8 residents.
4. A notice/warning in the elevator of another resident letting us know that their is an illegal brothel going on 3 apartment
