Desert Trails RV Park in Tucson, Arizona. But we have also accumulated many amenities since 1998, and we surprise our guests with the extent of our facilities. We are an adult 40+ RV park and attract an energetic customer base. This is reflected in our hiking, biking, dances, aerobics, and other outdoor activities.
We offer a campground atmosphere, unlike other RV Parks, and don't offer "annual rates" for permanent residents. Every "off-season" we upgrade infrastructure as well as improve existing buildings and create new spaces for expanding activities. The Trailer Life (Good Sam) directory recognizes this too, by increasing our "ratings" to 9/9/9.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Desert Trails RV Park. We had only planned to stay two days but loved this RV park and the people here that we extended our stay to seven days. Mrs. Jessie and her staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is a family atmosphere of the campers that welcome you with open arms (Snow Birds) that return every year to spend their winters at Desert Trails. The park is located near the Saguaro National Park and the scenery is unbelievably incredible. When my husband and I return to the Tuscan area we will definitely be making our reservations at the

Great location with walk-in access to Tucson Mountain Park, and a short drive or ride to the Desert Museum and Saguaro National Monument West. Literally miles of walking trails connect to the park. Large back-in lots With utilities that work, beautiful views and great desert scenery. It looked like the new owners are having to catch up with years of neglected maintenance to the landscaping and buildings.
This will be a great park again when they have trimmed the palm trees, painted the buildings and fixed the pool. They are working hard and Desert Trails is a good place to explore the best of

We really enjoyed our stay two years ago. We made arrangements then to return again for the 2021 season. We made a $100 deposit to hold. When covid forced us to change plans for 2021, I called and had my deposit applied to our 2022 stay. I called today, and guess what? No deposit. Changed owners. Too bad couldn't refund. Never did get far enough to learn if we actually even had a reservation at all. I wondered why the website seemed less friendly and the prices were up so much. We won't be back.

Wow. One of the better RV parks in Tucson. Even though it's 20 minutes outside of Tucson it's worth it. Quiet, very minimal road noise. Food trucks will come in, there's a dog park, laundry and shower services, and trails for biking or walking. Best part the people are really friendly and accommodating.

We are at the Diamond J RV park that is right next to this one. The noise coming from this park is ridiculous. In the morning there are dogs that bark at everything. Right now there is music thumping so loud that I can hear it in my RV with earbuds in. Thanksgiving weekend one RV decided to have an outdoor concert in their campsite with various instruments. I don't like having to shut my windows when the weather is nice. I called and asked if they could do something about the music that is thumping now. Guess no one cares enough to do anything about it. Beware if you want to stay at this park

Well if you come 'off season' meaning NOT between Nov - Feb...the Amenities are limited. Pool closed, rec room was partially open for Bingo today.
Roads newly asphalt, sites tight and close together, many long-term RVers from now[ mid/late October ] till March. The electric water hookups seems , confusing, appears to share poles but doable. Old pinic tables . No firepits or grills.
Need to be over 40 yr to stay, dogs allow.no kids. Friendly front staff in tiny office. There's no camp store. And place / entrance is NOT Lit ..we almost miss the entrance ,last night co.i g back from. TUSCAN after

Our favorite RV park! Great location, price is right and people are super friendly. It backs up to some pretty fabulous desert trails that lead to the mountain park. There are also good food trucks (Mexican, Italian, bbq) that come 3 days a week. They have hot showers, laundry, water, ice machine, 2 dog parks, a warm swimming pool and full hook ups. The favorite part of our stay were the 2 resident owls that come out every night at dusk.

Great park, nice size spaces of all different types. Great amenities, very interesting history of this park. It used to be a waterpark and the park incorporates what remains as part of its charm. Lots of amenities from laundry to excellent Wi-Fi. Huge dog park an area to walk around. Solid location. Stayed five nights.

We made a reservation to stay here with full hookups and pull through 8 months ago so we could visit Saguaro National Parks. When we arrived, our site was too small, not pull through and so crowded we couldn't fit our smallish rig in the back in spot. They were rude and unhelpful. They knew we wanted a pull through bigger site but cut the pull thrus in half to make more money. We went next door last minute and paid half of the price at Desert Trails for a very nice site. Do not recommend this park at all.

I cannot say enough nice things about this park. As a newbie RV'r I wanted to do a trial run and chose this park near the Tucson mountains. Previously Justin's Water World with remnants of the old park but nicely revised to accommodate all shapes and sizes of RV's. I emailed a reservation request for a pull thru as I am a novice with a 29' coach. I was graciously assured of the accommodation and pleased to find the nightly price of $32 was all inclusive of tax and all hookups. Free ice and a dog park were within walking distance and friendly neighbors everywhere.

I am kind of surprised (and suspicious) of all of the glowing reviews Desert Trails has received. I found this park to be mediocre at best.
The park is small and rvs are sort of strewn everywhere. Some lots are not level. Parking and spaces are tight. There is no cable tv so bring your dish. The park is a long way from anything commercial and so you'll drive about 10 miles. At 540 and 630 dollars a month (there is a 90 dollar surcharge from 30 amp to 50 amp service which is pretty steep) I thought the park was overpriced. I paid 210 for a week.
There are lots of scheduled activities and

Online ratings are often the reflection of how well a business or product meets a person's expectations. On that count, Desert Trails gets five stars. We expected a funky, older park with a strong sense of community and absolutely got it. Our experience was bolstered by being fortunate to get a spot in C-loop, a cul de sac at the back of the park with big sites that back up to the desert. The park offered top-flight musical entertainment three times during our two-week stay, outstanding food trucks twice a week, and a fun and informative community meeting each Monday. Our stay was absolutely

Wow! What a great RV Park! Best staff I have ever confronted in the state. Was a late arrival and was set up in a pretty tight space with a slide out. Woke up the next morning and asked the lady at the desk if they had something with a little more elbow space. They were very accommodating and found us a great spot to move into. It's a pain to move after setting up, but it was so worth it we wound up extending our stay! Great activities all week long, not to mention great rates! I will definitely be back!

Favorite park so far!!! It is truly a special place with a vibe that is so unique. Maybe that's because this park was built among the ruins of a water park from long ago? Or maybe it's because the setting is so diverse with twists and turns and charming cactus gardens scattered throughout? Or possibly because the park borders the magnificent Tucson Mountain Park filled with ancient Saguaro. For every guest there will be a reason why they return year after year. For me the draw has been the energy and passion the owner and his staff put into this park. It becomes obvious within minutes

A really nice park. This one has just about everything you could want in an RV Park. The staff and the campers were all very nice and personable. The park is very pet friendly, with plenty of spaces to exercise your pets. The park backs up to a state and National park area, which is filled with hiking and Mountain Bike riding trails. It is in a big city, but totally secluded.
