I would describe Dukessa as a boutique, upscale, classic yet "make it your own style" venue so you can have the wedding of your dreams here! And you get all this right in the middle of Houston - next to the Galleria mall. I loved Dukessa in the pictures and I loved it even more when I got there. Courtyard is beautiful and perfect for cocktails and so is there ceremony room downstairs with lovely iron doors.

We held my daughters wedding @ the Dukessa. The staff was wonderful, and helped us so much with organizing and planning. The food was excellent and the food and bar serving staff were very attentive, polite, made everything go smoothly and created the happy atmosphere we wanted for everyone to enjoy. Rebecca Marek was our rehearsal and day of coordinator/event planner and we really wouldn’t have managed to get everyone seated & my daughter down the aisle let alone anything else without her there.
I would highly recommend Dukessa.

Attended a wedding here recently --- Beautiful venue --- gorgeous courtyard to do cocktails and really nice first impressions as well of the building. Food was delicious and staff were very responsive and attended to all of us very positively. Even given COVID situation, I felt completely comfortable attending the wedding and loved every minute of it! Highly recommend to all Houstonians!

Just booked the place for our daughter's wedding in 2022. The venue is beautiful and perfect for an intimate wedding. Their venue manager, Tricia, is actually one of the most important reasons why we decided to go with Dukessa. She has been wonderful and very helpful from the start. She is very responsive to emails and texts and has been accommodating our needs and preferences. Our families are very happy to choose Dukessa and have a great manager to work with. Looking forward to have a beautiful, stress-free wedding for our daughter and her fiance.

My husband and I definitely did not have the normal wedding planning process. We ended up having to cancel and reschedule our first date because of COVID and the state of Texas completely shutting down. Likely the prettiest, most elegant venue in town! Love the courtyard, love the wine room and love the floor to ceiling windows in the grand ballroom. Most importantly, the staff is fantastic ....kind ...professional. My wedding couldn't have gone any smoother - It was seamless and so much fun without any stress ! Best venue with the best staff! Was married here in October- yes during COVID! I can’t put into words how beautiful of a day it was. From the moment we visited the Dukessa years ago they have helped answer our questions, work with our budget, provide us information for vendors, and they helped me get a day of wedding coordinator weeks before the wedding. I can’t say thank you because it just wouldn’t be enough. They made the whole process so easy and took all the proper precautions to make our guests via comfortable during this pandemic. Best staff in town! They were so accommodating withe me with all the whole COVID situation. I couldnt have asked for a better result from a vendor. I felt very taken care of and they were in constant communication with us through the entire process. My mom and dad who paid for our wedding were also very impressed with their professionalism. This venue is breath taking and romantic, especially during the evening. The courtyard is an added bonus for a romantic feel. There is also a terrace that over looks the courtyard from the reception area, which also adds the gorgeous view. The food and bartender service were great! I didn't receive any complaints from my guest. I received compliments for the food and drinks more than anything.

I had my wedding here May 19, 2018. The day was an absolute dream. Every vendor contracted through this venue exceeded my expectations in terms of quality. The food was excellent, all my guests raved about it. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, a very romantic setting and conveniently located for guests to stay in the Galleria area. Dukessa is quite simply the most charming and elegant establishment I've looked at. The old mission style decor is breathtaking. Definitely my kind of place.
I got a tour from Laura. She was the most pleasant and charming little Northern Yankee girl I ever had the pleasure of meeting. You could tell by her knowledgeable and passionate tour that she truly cares about her job and the Dukessa brand.
The venue has all you need to pull off a spectacular and classy event.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I have never been so insulted in my life. I went there for a tour this past weekend, surprised they could get me in on a Saturday but grateful. When I arrived I could completely understand why no one was there on a beautiful Saturday in March. The girl giving the tour was INCREDIBLY unprofessional, she barely seemed interested, immediately started asking me where else I had gone. I wouldn't give the place a star but only because I have to in order to submit. The one star is solely based off the communicate I had with Laura Mournian who totally lost a potential client! Via email was a doll and willing to assist even agreed they could help with 50+party. Once I phoned her and we spoke over the phone her entire attitude changed very condescending in verbiage on the minimum of the place as if she was attempting to deter me from renting the place or thinking I couldn't afford it! Haha the jokes on her and assumptions. I happen to live in St G place and own two homes

I was invited to this location because of the progress that my YouTube channel was making. I did not realize that YouTube even came out and did formal trainings to get your channel even better, but I was invited to this exclusive event.
This location seemed to be physically in the middle of the city. Much construction along my route made me want to simply turn around and go home, but I trekked to the final destination.
When I arrived, I must admit that the building itself seemed rather on the positive side of eye candy. Once YouTube opened up the event for all the exclusive content creators

For Lisa was so easy to work with during the planning of our event. She said that prior to working here she owned her own venue, and her experience really shined through. I attended a fundraising event here, and although I'm new to Houston, this venue stood out to me. The privacy that this venue provides is great, and not to be overlooked-- you won't find that kind of privacy at a hotel! We met the owners and appreciated that they play such a role in the venue's success-- truly caring for our needs. We had a plated dinner with a combo of filet mignon and a jumbo crab cake, wow... I need the recipe for the cajun remoulade sauce that was with the crabcake, like NOW!

What a beautiful gem of a venue near the galleria! I recently went to Dukessa in Houston for a pre-wedding reception. I stayed in one of the galleria area hotels and it took me 5 minutes to get to Dukessa. This gorgeous venue is surrounded by iron fence and gates which makes it really private and then as we entered the courtyard with lovely water fountains and lights, it was just so romantic. The foyer had a beautiful grand staircase and we did the cocktail hour in this really intimate wine room. The main event was held in the main ballroom upstairs which was just so beautiful with stone columns

If i could give this place ZERO stars I would! ITS A TRAP! These people are not in the business of helping you plan your dream wedding. It has been almost 3 months and they still didn't return our deposit because they said we complained too much! (which is illegal by the way because the place was not damaged at all!) Our bridesmaid fell on the stones outside the night of the rehearsal BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO TURN ON THE LIGHTS - they said it was not part of the package?!?! lights?!?! to see!??! Went here for a holiday party and had the best time ever, they have an adorable fountain and outdoor patio that was just too cute for words.
The food and the drinks were delicious, the DJ was awesome and he came with a photo booth which was my favorite thing about the night.
The venue is really cute and intimate and the location is perfect, i recommend it to any and all :).

I'm writing a review because the pictures and descriptions on the website and the actual event space look MUCH, MUCH different.
The online photographs are lovely, as if the guests have been transported to a an elegant Villa in the Italian Countryside.
The actual space feels more like a forgotten, faded and crumbling Italiano! section of a theme park.
Our company had a Christmas party for 150 people last night and spent about 30,000 dollars.
Here is what we got:
1. We arrived and my first thought was 'this looks like an old italian restaurant that was built in 1982" When I looked
