Consignment Classics

Love this store. I have bought multiple items from Consignment Classics over the years. From a couch, large painting, rugs, chandelier, pillows, decor, etc. Their prices are great and the quality is amazing. People in the store are very friendly as well. It's always fun to browse as the inventory is always changing.

This review is for the smaller part of Consignment Classics, not the big furniture store next to it. Not welcoming at all. One of the ladies working there today with dark hair was so rude to us. We had 6 glasses that we wanted to set down while we continued
fo shop. She said you're supposed to leave them on that table, that's what that table is for!! My daughter said oh we didn't know. While she just stared at us moving the glasses from the counter to the table. Total hag. The other lady that rang us up was nice enough. The dark haired lady, totally rude and shouldn't be working

I had bought a very expensive blouse however it did not have buttons and required cufflinks and cuff buttons I thought where am I going to get those and for less $100 or here it was at the consignment store for three bucks a whole set black ones super shiny looks brand new so the tuxedo blouse looks great. Thank you

Every time I go get my botox fix, I have to come to this consignment store as it's couple stores over. There are variety of items from different era's and tastes. It's impossible to not find something you like. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. If you're in the area, this is a great place to find a little treasure.

Too expensive! I get better deals at the women's center they are 50% off all the time!

Nice little store with bunch of unique things. Sometimes a little bit messy but between that you have a chance to find a treasure.

I've shopped here for years and found some wonderful treasures. However, they have really gone downhill, not only in quality/value of merchandise but in employee attitude. In particular, there is one man who works in the back checking in consigned items who has got to be one of the rudest people I've ever encountered in any customer service situation. A person with such a negative and condescending manner should never be allowed to interface with customers. Very unprofessional is the kindest description I can muster.

I went in looking for a vintage corded phone. I unfortunately didn't find that, however it does smell quite nice in there! They have lots of old furniture if your into that kinda thing. But yeah they don't have vintage phones, ergo don't go look for one there.

No communication, short and rude. I had several nice items to sell. I sent them a list with pictures. The response I received back was a sentence long. I replied asking what the next steps were. No response back. You'd think they would like to make some $ but I guess I was wrong. Learn how to answer emails professionally and if you aren't interested do not ghost future business. It's pretty simple.

Have been wanting to go and see the inventory. The place is huge. Probably twice the size of the SD location. Enjoyed seeing the furnature. If you need to furnish ur place or change ur style, it is a good place to start.

The woman that helped my mom and I in the decor storefront couldn't have been sweeter. The woman taking inventory...carried on her conversation with a coworker/friend as I stood there awkwardly awaiting instructions on what to do next. She told me to write my name on the waiting list (which I already had done). Then waved me off saying they had too much stuff on the tables and couldn't take my things at that time (no one was around organizing said "full" tables). This store has gotten way more expensive than a few years ago. It used to be my 'go-to' for used furniture. Now only as a last resort. Lately, when I go in there, I feel invisible. I can stand at the front counter as employees walk back and forth without any eye contact or a 'I'll be right with you'. Not sure what happened.

I've shopped here for furniture for the past 5 years. I've gotten unbelievable buys now way over priced 50-50 split with seller and store no mark downs after so many days. I buy on nextdoor app I would rather pay the seller than pay overhead to a store. Very sad to see this place change !

Misleading pricing and over-the-top rude staff. I have literally never been yelled at in a store or had a tag ripped out of my hands before....but I have now! Absolutely stunned. Find better items and lovely staff at other stores.

I've been shopping there for years but when I went there recently I was shocked, everything looked REALLY used and dirty and the worst selection ever !!! What happened to you guys ?

This store usually has good items and we have purchased things before but we were very upset in our recent experience here. There was a set of items we were interested in purchasing so we took the tags off to bring them up to the counter as we have done in the past. Just as we were doing this, another customer suddenly came up behind us angrily saying she was planning to buy the same item. She ended up rushing to the front counter to buy the items without having the tags and was again rude to us when we got to the counter. We were disappointed that the employees just stood back and listened to

Fantastic items but I took a star off because their staff is pretty rude...
On one item I had noticed there wasn't a tag and the cashier accused me of taking the tag off... she also took the tags off of the other items before I even came to check out so she couldn't figure out which item was missing the tag. This whole ordeal took 15 mins to figure out. She was snippy with me the whole time.

This is a treasure trove! They have a wide variety and large quantity of home furnishings. Art, rugs, lighting fixtures, chairs, tables, couches, and more. I bought a hanging decorative mirror and a large leather ottoman. Prices are really mixed. I paid $300 for that Restoration Hardware 40x40" tufted leather ottoman, but you can find beautiful chandeliers for only $100! They have tape measures you can borrow at the cash register. If you find what you want, take the tag off and bring it to the front register. Staff will help load into your car. Sales are final and you have three days to pick

I'm not to happy with this store for consignment. When you bring really nice items here the lady that looks at your merchandise always low balls you. I have brought in a high end teak table that cost me over $450 and she said she could sell it for $40 I was shocked and told her no thanks. she thought everyone would lay down for her offers but not me. I will never consign any of my items here again

Man! There is so much great stuff here, modestly priced! Perfect place to find that unusual item to fit just-so in your home. Bring your tape measure and be prepared to browse on repeated visits. Also, the prices on their nicely framed art work are so low, you can just look for the right frame - ignoring the art - and if you find the right dimensions, you'll pay a quarter or less what you'd pay for a new frame from a framing shop!

I did receive a call from the manager, Tammy. She apologized for the damage to my chairs and promised a refund by the end of the month. I'll update when that happens.

This used to be my Go To place for cool finds but when I went today - I found that it was a total waste of time and gasoline. First I went into the smaller shop that sells primarily glassware looking for some rock glasses. What I saw were shelves and shelves of glassware marked up way beyond what I would have paid (literally) at a Home Goods store. The fact is - that I stopped into Home Goods before I got to this consignment store. I found a set of some exact barware glasses that were $5.99 (for 4) listed at HG - and at the the consignment they were used priced at $4 each.
Just insane prices

Love CC! We've just moved to SD, and have found many unique, high quality pieces here. From a Maitland Smith partner desk to a travertine entry table, our finds have been many! The staff is terrific - shout out to Debra for keeping an eye out for the items were 're seeking, and Tammy the manager for making everything as easy as pie. Oh, and when you need that special piece delivered, Craig is the best!

Sounds like both are the same. Horrible experience from Paul's moving who is sub- contractor for them to extremely rude employee's at the store level. I left message for manager of the Encinitas store to call me. She never did........... so I will never buy or sell at their shop.
