Jim and Randy have been in the business of buying and selling Antiques and Art since they met in 1972. Their passion for antiques derives from their familial roots within San Diego. Randy was born in 1950, whose mother was the original historian for San Diego. She was tasked with documenting what we currently know as the historical state parks throughout San Diego County.
Why should you buy or sell with Mission Gallery Antiques? The answer is simple: Randy and Jim have a combined 80 years of experience in buying and selling antique decorative arts and uniquely collectible personal property. Mission Gallery Antiques has been a destination landmark since 1980 with over forty years at our Mission Hills location.

If I could give a negative reviews I would. I brought a 17th century art piece into the gallery awhile ago to possibly sell. The lady working the counter asked a guy by the name of "RANDY" to come look at it. He yelled "what do you want?!" He finally came over and said that my piece had sentimental value but he'd offer me 100$, I asked him what he new about it and he said he would be right back. I waited their awkwardly for a few minutes and heard him tell the woman "get that "DOG" (referring to me) out of the store" She comes up to the counter and asks

Randy & Jim have attended multiple estate sales we at Americana Estate Sales have conducted. They carry themselves as true professionals in the antique & fine art community. If your looking to start or create a well curated collection start with Mission Gallery! When you enter you'll be amazed at their inventory. Many pieces could easily belong in a museum. If you need to sell a family heirloom give them a shot they will blow you away with their knowledge and love for their craft.

I had some signed and numbered lithographs left me by my late father and went to the gallery to ask if that's something they would be interested in. The sale associate I spoke with said they only deal in originals, but that she'd ask Randy if he had any suggestions. She told him I had Rockwell prints and before she could finish the sentence he loudly replied "I don't want those! They're crap!" The sales associate then suggested I donate them to Goodwill. I understand not being interested in an item, but the overall level of professionalism and sensitivity was horrid

I had an appointment with Jim, arrived to find out her was not there. Spoke to him on the phone he said Randy would be there in a few minutes, it took a while and got another call from Jim that Randy was delayed and there was a conflict with another appointment. Waited again and no Randy, we had come all the way down from North County to be treated like 'oh well'. Will not recommend this shop to any of my friend

Visited to see if they would buy some items from an estate. Randel and Jim both very knowledgeable and couldn't have been more helpful! Offered what I thought were very good prices. Husband had to restrain me from purchasing some of the great items in their store; they have some beautiful pieces! Visit them, and say hello to Sherry, their adorable and well behaved pup.

By far the most beautiful merchandise I've seen in an antique store in years. Mission Gallery carries classic pieces; old french and english furniture, old classic art, old chinese porcelain. Almost all the pieces I saw there were at least 80 years old, and many many pieces were well over 120 years old. The merchandise here is legit.
If you are interested in shabby chic or mid-century antiques, unfortunately I didn't see much like that at Mission Gallery.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The owner we dealt with was extremely knowledgeable about his merchandise. Prices were

I went to Mission Gallery and spoke with Randy (one of the owners) explained I had some items I would like to sell. He said I could e-mail him the info. or come in with the items. We made an appt. and met with Randy with our items. He was very honest, has a great scene of humor and very informative. He was very knowledgeable and described all the items we had . Their gallery of antiques is wonderful. The quality of their inventory is amazing. If you are looking for a gift for yourself or a gift for another you really should stop and see all they have to offer.

For decades Randy and Jim have demonstrated the quality, judgment and experience that those of us blessed with experience in "nice things" recognize immediately. Completely intent on creating better than satisfied customers, they buy, sell and advise on furniture and accessories, art and appointments, whether it is something special to stand out, or you have a household of treasures. The FIRST stop for people wanting it done right, and then they will refer you to the best alternatives if they cannot serve your needs exactly.

This store is just lovely -- from the antiques in stock to the people who work there. Some of the prices were great for good quality antiques, and I cannot say enough positive things about the excellent, friendly, patient, and very helpful owners and other staff. I will definitely shop at this store again.

I thought that this was a cute little store with some beautiful furniture pieces. If you are looking for knick knacks or glass, there is less of that sort of thing here. I found items to be a bit high priced but he had a 50% off of everything sale so that made items more reasonable. I only wish I needed furniture because he has some seriously beautiful pieces!
The owner was pleasant and his dog very quiet and sweet. He let me know that there is parking in the back and that I can come in the back door whenever I come... that was good to know as on street parking costs and can be hard to get.

I have shopped here for many, many years, and have always been extremely impressed with the quality of what they carry, and the knowledgable consultants are just what you'd hope for.
Beyond that, I've purchased a number of high-quality pieces, that remain among my favorites, and have never, ever overpaid.
Quality, service, value... what more can you ask for?

Mission Hills has changed so much over the years that it is hardly recognizable these days. Some changes for the better, some not. Where there used to be several antique shops on Washington Street, about the only one remaining is Mission Gallery; one that, back in the early 1980s, was a pioneer for the industry here.
What began as a little red house with a converted garage in the back has become a standard bearer in the antiques industry here in San Diego. It seems to have a never ending inventory of beautiful pieces; everything from armoirs to andirons, tin ware to Tiffany.
Lots of paintings
