During the height of the 2015 measles outbreak, Rhett Krawitt could not get vaccinated because of his battle against leukemia. Chemotherapy had severely compromised his immune system. Now 12-year-old Rhett says, "that with this pandemic, I feel like people are going to get vaccinated because somebody they know is going to get sick or die from the virus."

Carrie Southgate DPT Carrie received Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2002 from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She attended Washington and Lee University and has a B.S. in Psychology with emphasis on child development. She is Spanish speaking. Carrie's many strengths include specialized training in using the Universal Exercise Unit and TheraSuit.

Neurodevelopment Treatment (NDT): Certified in 1987 with Ingrid Tscharnuter PT and Peggy Smith OTR, NDT is a hands-on approach to facilitating sensorimotor skills focusing on postural alignment and facilitating balance and equilibrium reactions in all positions on a developmental continuum.

We hope you are all well and safe at home. We are all adjusting to this 'new normal'. With that in mind, Christine Egan Physical Therapy is now offering remote sessions as an alternative to office visits. We are excited about adapting these new technologies, and it is proving useful given that we are all sheltering-in-place.
